1) I've found the location of the smell cloud 2) It's not in a format I can easily change
In the process of testing the color I did manage to make it black, but attempting to change it further resulted in causing it to disappear in it's entirety (which is not likely preferred).
Due to the limitations of QuickBMS (namely that re-imported files must be the same size) and the fact that the file is already small I can't edit the bytes without making it larger.
Changing the color of the smell clouds will likely have to wait until post-redkit though I'll keep fiddling with it in the mean time.
Though you do have to reinstall it anytime a patch changes the file (Which again, should be changed shortly if the Mod tools get it done, which they should) the mod should work on patch 1.08.x
Just got this working in 1.30 after playing around for 10 minutes. I was getting the "Unable to save script: Token is not valid." error and my colors were not updating. The problem was I was not putting a # symbol in front of my color codes. So if you enter the pink in the screenshot CF3476, you must put #CF3476 in the interface for it to update properly. When you do the program where you are entering the code with change the text box color to match what you just entered as a preview.
Also, the only thing you need to run is the file "Witcher 3 Witcher Sense Customizer.exe". I guess this was very obvious so the author didn't clearly indicate this in the description, but just thought i would state it here. I did not put this in the mods section, just extracted it to the root folder "The Witcher 3 - The Wild Hunt" where the game is installed.
Thanks for the guidance, can confirm it's also work with v1.31 GOG + Unification Patch
Just to be clear, we didn't have to actually put the extracted "Sense Customizer" file / folder in the Witcher root folder. The tools can be run anywhere, all we have to do is just to set the root within the program itself.
For new user who confused: The author & some user referring to ralcolor.com for helping pick color. But at the time i write this, since that an old post, probably because changes over the years, currently it doesn't give any hex value at the moment, just an internal color RAL code (RAL XXXX) So, instead we can use other site to help pick color. Just google "hexcolor". And google will provide you with their own hexcolor picker. Or you know, use whatever color picker you usually use.
Also, make manual backup of "startup.bundle" first instead of relying of internal backup/uninstall mechanism. You know, just in case...
I find fascinated 2015-years mod provide such odd instruction or oddly made. At that time, mod limit fix or Script Merger didn't exist. That was the dark age of modding.
Where you have The Witcher 3 installed. I.e. \Steam\steamapps\common\The Witcher 3\ if you have it installed via steam. You need to put a # in front of the value, like #d30003. And don't forget to set the value of the opacity to anything between 1.0 and 0.0.
How do you get it to work properly? Looks odd to me.
Edit: Scrap that, it works fine in Next-Gen, but you can make it look weird if you don't enter the right values.
For anybody wondering, just make sure you enter the opacity correctly, that's where I went wrong. For example I'm using pink magenta colour and the following (default) opacity:
Late reply but they are commonly used color codes that you can find from here for example. The text box in the installer turns into your chosen color and it also says if its not valid.?
For those of you who are as dumb as I am and still can't get this mod working: At first it didn't work for me because I installed it here: C:\...\The Witcher 3 - Wild Hunt\bin\x64 Now it works for me because I have simply chosen C:\...\The Witcher 3.

At the end of the day, black smoke is nothing odd.

I did have to reinstall it though however.
NOTE: RAL 1026 (Luminous Yellow) is actually incorrect, because it has two #'s instead of one. It should be: #FFFF00
I'm going to create a new version of the mod with an Uninstall button for those who want the EXACT original color code restored.
Expect it before May 5th.
Edit: Having issues getting Witcher 3 to extract it's BMS files for me.
Must be a big update

But great mod. Endorsed!

it keep said "invalid color"

I dont want to mess around with anything I'm not fully 100% on as I had to spend ages trying to fix a problem I had a while back.
Here are my settings if someones interested: https://i.imgur.com/c05qixT.png
quest color - #d200b9 (dark purple)
interact color - #40b4ff (light blue, #53bcff if you want it even lighter )
Edit: Scrap that, it works fine in Next-Gen, but you can make it look weird if you don't enter the right values.
For anybody wondering, just make sure you enter the opacity correctly, that's where I went wrong. For example I'm using pink magenta colour and the following (default) opacity:
Colour: #E11584Opacity: 0.7
Colour: #E11584Opacity: 0.5
However, I seem to remember editing the senses by directly editing a file, but maybe not. Anyone know how?
