I suppose this is nice if you want to do a speed run with TW3 however I don’t see it saving more than 1-2 seconds. Plus you can always skip dialogue as you make selections that speeds things up as is.

No, it doesn't save much time and I'm not claiming to have revolutionised the UI, but it doesn't come at any cost either and as I said, to this day I still always press circle instinctively before I remember it doesn't work for these menus. If you don't need it, there's no need to install it, for anyone that might like it, it's there.

Yes you’re right and it’s nice you give others options. So for my understanding you made this because you’re used to pressing the ⭕️ button to back out of dialogue. For me I get combat buttons confused when I play God Of War after playing TW3. Takes me a little to readjust 😅

Exactly, even within TW3, circle/B will back you out of all the main menus and the panel menus but for dialogue, on gamepad, you have to go down to the goodbye option and select it with A/X.  On top of that circle/B is not mapped to any function in this context so you don't lose anything either.  I do know it's not something people have been crying out for but maybe some people might be glad of it.  For me it's a small niggle I no longer have to put up with.

Thank you very much! Simple but very useful, I also always instinctively press the B button lol. THANK YOU!

Not working for me, I see the line of code not in the top of input.settings, but in the middles, along with the other options in the Scene section. Do I need to repeat the line at the top of the file?

No, that's the correct place, the game will sort items added to the top into to the correct section. Just double check both the button and the action are exactly as given as any slight differences can cause it to fail silently.  If it still doesn't work let me know and I'll take a look later.

You could photoshop edit a game screenshot, rather than asking an IA to generate an ugly picture.

Also, there is an option "swap confirm/cancel" for that.

Thanks for the kind words of encouragement. I thought that just swapped the buttons; that's not what this mod does at all.

No, "swap confirm/cancel" only swaps buttons, so it cannot be used as a replacement for this mod.

Even before that, "swap confirm/cancel" is so poorly designed that it is impossible to play properly using it.
Trying to use stashes or fast travel signposts is impossible because the menu that opens is immediately closed.
