Best answer and I completely agree. Neither side is black and white, they are all shades of grey. But difficult to judge by todays standards. Maybe during that time period, even fanatic church of the Eternal Fire, under Redania taking over all the North, might seem like happy outcome. Europe actually went through something like this in the past.
But indeed, all of the endings for the Third Northern War are bad, even Nilfgaard which was heavily whitewashed in Witcher3
"I'm not sure that Redanian soldiers should be using Kaedweni or Temerian helmets, but besides that, it's cool mod."
-> Actually it makes perfect sense as Kaedweni forces joined Redania when Radovid crushed Henselt (or whoever was leading the country if killed in W2) during clash in Kestrel Mountains. Furthermore, Roche mentions he and his forces joined Radovid when Temeria got taken over by Nilfgaard and John Natalis disappeared. Makes even more sense if Anais is delivered to Radovid in W2.
@Rev3nuss And how did you come by these list of terms. Is there a way i can see which entities get refered to by other entities. That would be a helpful sugestion, not searching for every single term i already checked out.
And medieval armies are not standartised with government issued kit with equitment uniform codes. Even without the mentioned lore background.
@shadowhawk27 These are padded armored gloves. If you see oven mitts that were invented in the 1870s, thats because your natural habitat is the kitchen with the women and the other serfs and you will naturally be drawn back to it.
@Jeramont Well, I'm sorry, but how am I supposed to take these guys seriously when they wear red oven mitts? I mean, are these guys supposed to be bakers, not soldiers? It kind of breaks the immersion of this game.
Besides that i went out of my way to make Chainmail Gauntlets and bakers don't use such handwear, i still used the padded mittens as a Rorschach Test. I see passiv weapons, you see domestic chores. We are not the same.
I just brute forced it and searched through every entity (cause I plan to do my own version soon). As far as I know, file relations can be seen, but only view the parent file from the child file (so it's kinda useless in your case). I listed all the terms I found, so only search for the ones you didn't know about.
In the Witcher, armies are standardized, of course except for units like the "Poor f*#@ing Infantry". But ok, My point is that I just like the individuality of each country's look.
@Jeramont That's still not enough to convince me... Look, you like those padded red gloves for what they are. That's fine by me, and I will respect that, but that alone doesn't mean I have to like them. If I had the skills with Redkit for witcher 3, I would have gone to great lengths to have the red oven mitts replaced with what I considered lore-wise equipment. Have a nice day.
This isn't what brute force means. Brute forcing something in programer context means overwheling a system until it has to react to your demand. In this case i would simply delete entry files all these redanian entries relie on and force a respond from the redkit that these parts are missing. Searching every entry like looking for the needle in the haystack is the exact opposite of brute force. You seem to not think alot about anything you write.
@shadowhawk27 you still don't get it that i think you are a domesticated little kitchen boy, domesticated in the very sense of the word, and that idon't give a shlt what you are conviced of. Go back to your kitchen and don't bother me with your garbage opinions.
@Jeramont I am NOT a domesticated little kitchen boy. I'm a stickler to the Witcher lore person. They may not be great opinions, but that does not mean you have to start throwing insults at my face. Does the phrase "To each their own" mean anything to you? Everyone is entitled to their preferences and opinions, and it's a way of acknowledging that people have different tastes and beliefs, which you alone don't seem to get. And I'm sorry for starting this argument. Let's start over, could you replace the soldiers who are wearing red padded gloves with the chainmail gauntlets? It would mean a lot to me. if not, then I won't trouble you anymore.
@Rev3nuss You know when you're wrong and you double down, i really get the hint that you are on the spectrum and only working along predefined systems seems intuitive to you, without understanding why these systems are the way they are or how they really work. You understand the Term "brute forcing" just like the term "temerian helmet", but they are both meaningless to others the way you understand them.
@Kitchenboy So you can't do it on your own, but you think others have to pander to you because of your "you" problems cause you can't get over the mittens. The phrase "To each it's own" is displayed above the gate to Buchenwald Concentration camp. So we come full cycle why you are so afraid of anything related to ovens.
This mod replaces the same NPCs, so if you have two downloaded at the same time, they might merge in a strange way, or they might not be compatible at all.
