The Alder King Auberon Muircetach is in game only for one short cutscene, but everybody deserves love. Especially when they are just one handed low polly model.
I alrady tried to make him once some time ago, but it was disaster. Now with more skill and patience I tried again.
His original model is just Ge'els' low poly head with same body model with slightly unique golden bracers with gems and rings. So I used Ge'els as the base. Face textures were made to be combination of Elihal, Ge'els and Avallac'h to get pale elf with sad eyes. His eyes being described as molten lead (which is eyes Avallac'h)
Despite him wearing red robe in vanilla, I decided to go mainly based of his GWENT cards where he wore dark night sky blue with red stash. My biggest deviation from the source was in terms of not doing gold trim as the dress has the pattern that I made quite prominent and having both felt like too much going on. Boots remained black just more shiny, with darker brown belt instead of black to better fit the colors. I also made the rings and higher detailed version of bracers be on both hands.
Interesting mod. I understand that Auberon Muircetach appeared only in a dream summoned by Corinne, showing the moment shortly before his death. This vision was used to convince Ge'els to betray Eredin. Also, after seeing his vanilla form, I remembered the movie Event Horizon, where Dr. William G. "Billy" Weir had a vision of his late wife with no eyes. kinda Creepy if you ask me.
