Bad and good news. The bad news: no, the mod didn't prevent dead faces having ice breath. The good news: I review Skellige Ice Breath code and... I FIX IT!
Thanks Ard for releasing this! Life saver! Glad to see you back in action as well.
Although, just a small note. While Lip Movement mod has been somewhat ported to NG, a part of it that introduces blinking animations to NPCs hasn't actually been ported. So that mod is still somewhat relevant, if you can port it to NG. Just letting you know, in case you wanted to fully port that mod and incorporate blinking animations as well.
Yeah these blinking animations are forced on the NPCs through a gameplay scene and a timer replaying the scene every now and then. I don't really like it. It has too much potential for problems in my opinion. For example, it breaks SBUI. When you want to preview some anim, this blinking cancels the anim you want to preview. Would probably happen in gameplay too if for some reason NPCs would have to play a specific mimic animation, it would get cancelled by the blinking. So yeah, even though the concept is nice, the execution is too problematic for me. So I just dropped it
Also Ard forgot to mention. EnableMimics mod isn't fully implemented into Next Gen because it only applies facial animations to NPCs. But Geralt's face is still frozen unless you melee the air or something to get his idle face moving again. But EnableMimics resolves this and gives Geralt idle face animations too, not just NPCs, which is why I still think that mod is relevant for Next Gen. So idk if you wanted to fully incorporate this mod into a better version for EnableMimics without the bugs or not. Anyway, your call man! :)
No way someone did this, the most annoying bug fixed, i still dont understand why so many years with this great mod community no one trying to fix this, we have mods like BIA with thousand fixes but most awful bugs like this still exist. Thank you very much this is number 1 fix for me P.S Also will be great if someone fix this stupid human dead pose like on screenshot this looks so awful xd
Finally! This confirmed that i'm not the only who noticed. Makes me think something is just wrong the some of the mods I'm using but this mod fix certainly means this is vanilla issue.
