I liked the idea of Annoying Minimap but still wanted compass functionality. While doing so, I decided to add a border. Then I made flavors of that border. Then I decided to expand the compass from just being an indicator for north to indicating all directions. So yeah, this mod grew beyond its initial intention...
You get the following options:
Just a border, to spruce up your GUI if you want. Different themes available.
Full minimap compass. Different themes available.
Full minimap compass, removed quest and user pin arrows. Different themes available.
INSTALLATION Can be installed via mod manager.
If manually installing, just extract the contents of the ZIP to your base Witcher 3 folder.
COMPATIBILITY Conflicts with anything modifying the hud_minimap2.redswf file. Make sure my mod has higher priority.
Friendly HUD - Compatible.
W3EE - Compatible. The "No Arrow Guidance" version of the mod is incompatible for now. Somehow, W3EE is overriding behavior of my mod, even if mine has higher priority. Investigating if there is any way around this or if I am missing something. There may be other mods that have the same behavior that I have not tested.
