Really nice QoL mod! Never new I needed this mod, but after 9 full playthroughs, I completely agree there is no value in holding the Orens/Florens until you can exchange them, or going out of the way to trade them with Vimme. Great job!
I probably won't : while magicly changing Orens and Florens to Crowns isn't an immersion breaking for me, changing paper into coin will definitly be. Besides, their isn't many copy of this item around the world and it's not a massive source of money, so the need to go exchange them isn't very high.
Can you do a version dlc with exchange rate of the full version (that 6 Orens = 1 Crown) ? Peux tu faire une version dlc avec un taux d'échange égale à la version complète ? Je joue à la version 1.32 du jeu et la version complète du mod n'est pas compatible avec la version 1.32 malheureusement.
Hi, thanks ! The default exchange rate is 1 Oren = 1 Crown in each version, as designed in vanilla. The "Lore" preset in the full version which change the exchange rate to 6 Orens = 1 Crown is here more for convenience than to truly bring a lore value to the exchange rate. After all, currencies values depend on circumstances, and this lore exchange rate came from the book, years before the event of the game 😅 so it's not un-believable to assume that the new lore is vanilla's. But I digress. While it's nice to ear that the lite version is compatible with old gen, I don't really support this version of the game and won't adapt the Full version to work on it. Sorry.
I understand your point of view and it's convinced me that the lite version is lore-friendly :). Normally, apart from very rare exceptions, all mods that only have a dlc folder are compatible with all versions of the game. I'm planning to play WE3REDUX Next Gen in French thanks to your translation, and are all your mods created with WE3REDUX compatibility in mind?
Yeah all my mods worked with W3EE Redux, as I play with it. Most are completely compatible and don't conflict with it, a few need priority over it but when it's the case their is always a note about that in the description.
Why ? The concept of FOCES rely on exchanging currencies and add depth to them. With my mod you won't even see the new item, missing completely a good part of FOCES features. Either choose one or another depending on your preference. Mixing them won't create a conflict but could result in in-accuracy exchange. A patch is possible but again, I really don't see the point of making one as the concept of both are completely different. And I don't want to overstep on FOCES concept.
