Ahoi there, I´m using this mod (cool thing btw!), but Dol Blathanna Armor is still in the Vizima Royal Palace (item lvl 7). I´ve recently connected my account to get the gear, installed your mod (alt version) and started a new game. Can´t say if everything else is working, but Temerian Armour isn´t available at Bram. So I´m assuming (and hoping) it might be only Dol Blathanna which doesn´t work for me.. I´m using other mods like BIA, Progressive Scavenger Hunt, 4k armor textures, and stuff, but can´t see anything interfering with the location.. Any clues? Thanks a ton!
Thanks! I now put this mod on higher priority than BIA and loaded a save before opening the chest in Vizima Palace.. Dol Blat armor now was gone, too. I think that was my fault. Cheers!
As little warms up. There is the quest mod The Legend of the West's Spirit - Treasure Hunt Quest that remove White Tiger set on the chest as well, with a scripted phase to detect either we use W3EE or Elven Gear Rewards, to fill the chest with something else. So the quest mod should have higher priority, but not guarantee it removes all the chest content in Wizima
Secondly. Those gears have pre-defined level requirement, such Temerian Armour is level 4. So if we bought them much later in the game, they aren't valuable to use. My suggestion is making an optional files where you edit their XML files and put the tag "AutoGen" and "ForceAutoGen" so when you bought those the first time, they'll scale up to Geralt's level, no matter their stats.
Thank you for your suggestions, I think I can consider adding the "AutoGen" and "ForceAutoGen" tags directly in the main file. Do they scale the item level only when the items are acquired, or every time that Geralt levels up?
About the chest in Vizima, my only edit has been to move it backward (basically outside the window), so it is still present but unreachable. At the moment this has been the most "quick and dirt" way to ensure that no matter what, you won't be able to get the Elven Gear here (if I'm not wrong, it is placed by script if you have a verified account). If you have some suggestions about how to deal with this without moving the chest out of the playable area, I'm all ears (feel free to reach out on Discord if it's better)
Other mods that affect this chest will probably not be affected too much, besides obviously making anything placed inside unattainable.
The autogen tag only scales when acquired, not when Geralt levels up.
Seth has found a way to remove Dol Blathanna in the chest loot. You can look in Elven Gear Reward how. For us, it's important to keep this chest in Wizima as it's part of the quest.
Hi, nice overhaul placement ! The chest containing the Elven Gear has a specific tag : mq1060_reward_chest . By simply removing it, the gear can't be added into the chest. I assume you edited the loot.w2l to move the chest ? Edit : as both edit the same file, giving priority to our quest mod should be enough for it to work.
I will take a look at that mod then and maybe ask him how he did this.
Yes I edited `loot.w2l`, but I don't know if it is the best way to do this, it was more an hackish way. If you can explain how to make it sure to completely remove the elven gear from it, I would be glad to keep the chest in place.
It is also likely that using both my mod and your and Seth's would be a little redundant since they basically do the same thing in different ways.
Anyway, I would prefer to keep the chest visible in the palace too, as I thought of placing some different items to compensate.
My way of doing it edit the loot.w2l too. In that layer, find the chest and remove the tag i wrotte in my previous post and that's it : ) The elven gear won't be added as the game use this tag to place it in the chest, and you'll be able to keep the chest in it's place.

The elven gear won't be added as the game use this tag to place it in the chest, and you'll be able to keep the chest in it's place.
The White Tiger Gear is added only by the relevant loot list, right?
