What if you don't have a base_scripts.dzip file? Just putting yours doesn't work btw.

You have to have it. Game installs it. Backup the one StemLibrary/common/thewitcher2/cookedpc Then just copy this mod's there,

My dude, I'm telling you I don't have it. If you google "base_scripts.dzip missing" or something you'll see there are lots of other people with this issue, always unanswered. Do you want a screenshot of my game files?

The game runs fine without it, it's just that mods that use it never work - which are a lot of them.

Then just copy the Mod's to it, but, it will only work if you start a new game.

Ok I fixed it. Doing just that didn't work, I also had to take the specific files that were modded from within the base_scripts file and paste them in the CookedPC folder while following their original folder hierarchy (Important!)

Honestly dunno why it worked like that but tbh I don't care. If anyone else has this issue, here it is.

Care to elaborate on how you fixed it? I'm struggling with this issue as well...

use gibbed tools (dl it here on the nexus) to overwrite the files correspondent to your mod within the base scripts dzip file. Then, take note of the folder hierarchy of the modded files that you put inside base scripts and replicate them in the CookedPc folder. For example, if you overwrite a file named "pants.wtv" inside the base sceipts file with a hierachy of "textures>armors>pants.wtv" then do the same in the cookedpc folder like "CookedPC>textures>armors>pants.wtv"
