According to the book, the eyes of Witcher Geralt have only a few terms, e.g. "dark, narrowed, piercing, sharp" or small quote "(...) The man leaned forward, the flame of the fire glistened in his eyes. They were strange eyes. Very strange.". According to games, they were often referred to as viper or cat-like, but I think it is because the witchers saw well in the dark.
I distinctly remember Geralt waking up and closing his eyes to shield them from the sunlight despite the fact that he could narrow his pupils like a cat. It was not something the games made up.
Love the eyes! Great job! Wanting to play Witcher 2 for the very first time but desperately waiting for someone to bring the Henry Cavill mod over to this game too. Please please please!!! lol
Probably something with a specular map or a normal map, because I haven't changed them and they are original. Can you see it in the sun or in the shade as well?
That's how I work on it, normal maps are constructed a little differently here even from Witcher 1 or even 3, so I'm just learning how to create them and how they work.
I'm not talking about the normals, but the specular texture, which governs light reflection and such.
On the second screenshot, you can clearly see the original cat pupil specular texture showing through the new diffuse, as a blue spot below the new circular pupil.
