Yes, I also think the same. Is there any other mod which might overwrite combat change if we use them both. I don't want to throw away this mod because of combat issues. In my case especially Quen is short lived 5 seconds.
Did anyone tried to fight mages/wizards for ex at arena? I M P O S S I B L E, either 0 damage to them or they use shield or (mostly) they will tp immediately after you try to run to them. ridiculous
I so wish this mod existed just without the combat tweaks, its so annoying trying to fight the troll for example and having it outheal my attacks unless I use every strat I can to maximize damage which isn't fun sorry
Heya, how is auto-loot suppose to work? Does it auto loot everything in radius as you walk or is it only looting monsters after they die? (last is what i am experiencing) which is odd.
It tweaks a lot of things that elevate the experience. Simply, ehem, quality of life improvements that remove some of the more tedious aspects of an otherwise spectacular game.
However, I'm quite baffled to see the modder taking the liberty to add some of his own non-quality of life features into this mod.
Killing enemies seem almost impossible now. I hate damage sponges in games, more so for melee based combat systems since then it feels like you're whacking people with a toy sword instead of a deadly sharpened piece of steel. But this mod f*#@ing overdoes it, excuse my language. Enemies are not so much damage sponges as they are straight up immovable, undefeatable slabs of rock. Frustrating does not even begin to explain my experience with this mod. Hitting enemies does nothing. I throw a bomb and they flinch, I think? I was too busy being absolutely shocked at seeing their life bars not even twitching.
I'm going to have to uninstall the mod, sadly. Cool in concept but my god, I don't know if I've ever seen a more poorly implemented mod in my entire life. The devil's in the details, but when it comes to this particular mod, it took just one terrible adjustment to snap the poor camels back and leave it slowly dying in agony, alone under the scorching sun.
Avoid this mod like the plague. I'm sorry to have to say it, but my god. I'm a Witcher 2 veteran, beaten it several times on Dark, came back after many years away and was hoping to find some cool new mods to spice up the experience. I'm not looking for frustration, however, and so must insist on anyone who's thinking about installing this mod, to stay far, far away...
PS. Would be nice for this mod to be modular. If we could get rid of the, honestly, horrendous tweaks to combat, it might be good.
It's a shame that the mod has some gamebreaking mechanics i don't like. Unfortunately we don't have the option to install only the tweaks we would like to play with.
