For anyone who has got a playthrough locked still despite looking at this mod. There's a tool on githud called "TheWitcher2SavelockBypasser" that has multiple functions for backing up, unlocking saves after death, and restoration.
Don't know if author is still active or not but the tool creator also linked your mod which was nice of him.
I'm still active. As a matter of fact, someone recently posted an issue about it on GitHub and I realized I had forgotten to compile and upload the latest version. The tool has a limitation of 5 playthroughs though.

What´s the point of the Madman achievment if it is not achieved fairly? There´s no sense in it. In general the idea of an achievment is that you get an reward for something difficult you accomplished and others not, something you can be proud of. If you cheat to get this reward there´s nothing left to be proud of... just saying.
True. You get to be more proud of your achievement than others. The point of a game is to have fun, so if others cheat, we are robbed of that fun sense of accomplishment :)
the easiest way to use the GibbedREDTools: 1. drag and drop the file "base_scripts.dzip" on Gibbed.RED.Unpack.exe 2. copy, paste and overwrite "dead.ws" in the "base_scripts" folder 3. drag and drop "base_scripts" folder on Gibbed.RED.Pack
To anyone that needs help Decompiling in the future, here are step-by-step instructions to help. (I don't think I missed anything but I AM an idiot, so...)
1- Find your Gibbed RED Tools file and drop it straight into your C:\ Drive. 2- Rename the Gibbed RED Tools folder "GibbedREDTools" (just take the spaces out of the name) 4- Go into your Witcher 2 Cooked PC folder and copy the base_script.dazip file and paste it into your C:\ drive. 3- Run the Command Prompt as Administrator 4- Type "C:\GibbedREDTools". The left side of your screen should now say "C:\GibbedREDTools 5- Type "Gibbed.RED.Unpack.exe "C:\base_scripts.dzip" "C:\Gibbed.RED.Tools" You should see a long list pop up and you should see a "Gibbed.RED.Tools" folder on your C:\ drive. That is the decompiled folder.
Can't you just upload an edited file for download? With these these complex steps it's hard to figure out. Plus Gibbed is not working for me at all will not even run
