Open “game => player => player.ws” with any text editor (e.g., VS Code);
Go to line 3521 (or search “PlayerRemoveDarkDiffItemsIfNotDarkDiff( );”);
Add two slashes before this string (or simply delete it). The final result will look like this;
Then go to line 3721 (or search “Checking if the player's in dark difficulty mode”);
Remove all lines begin from 3721 to 3744. The result will look like this;
Save changes and close the editor;
Use “Gibbed.Red.Pack.exe” to save fixed scripts.
2. Then, you need to add schematics (or crafted items) to NPC shops. You need to do:
Open “CookedPC => items => def_shops.xml” with any text editor (again, I'll recommend to use VS Code);
Find interesting seller (for this I recommend to use commentaries, often they contain seller name and act, where you can find him);
Before closing tag (“</loot>”) put lines, that contain information about interesting your items. My examples of this file. BUT:
If you want to buy schematics to craft equipment, you can just copy my example;
If you want to buy already crafted equipment, you need to remove “Schematic ” from items names in my examples.
WARNING: Every time, when you lost your equipment (like entering Loredo's residence or Hung Over quest) dark difficult equipment will disappear. So, I highly recommend completing these quests or moments before crafting or buying corresponding equipment.
Check your game launcher settings (dzip file must be enabled (if I don't mistake)). If you don't have this file after all, you can download any mod, that alter shops (like this or this), unpack it, copy def_shops.xml, alter for Dark Items and then pack it to final "dzip".
Firstly, thank you very much. Nevertheless, I don't quite understand the "add schematics (or crafted items) to NPC shops" part. Are you saying that we should add the dark items (this file) to any shop we like to add?
Yes. You can add them to any shop you want (I make examples of shops, that you can alter). You even can add all of these to First Act trader items list, if you want.
Without this step, you just can't obtain Dark Difficult items (by legal ways, after all), because in Vanilla game these schematics (or crafted items) ain't spawn at any difficult other than Dark.
There's still some problem for this method. This method do add items to the shop, before you're sure you are able to buy the schematics/items, don't trade with the shop. The reason is that after you leave the trade interface and ask for trade again, all the dark schematics/item are gone, which means you only get one chance to get the schematics/items.
Also, for those who don't want to purchase the items, do steps 1-7. From there, you can either wait to pack it into the CookedPC folder and add this mod or pack it into the file and use Vortex to add this mod (Vortex will back up the modified zip); from there, go into the game and make sure the items are in your inventory save and exit the game delete this mod if you used Vortex it will re-establish the modded zip. If you didn't use it, you can pack the base_script file into the CookedPC file. When you enter the game, the items should remain in your inventory.

Use this guide.
1. First by first, you need to remove game check to current difficult. You need to do:
- Use Gibbed RED Tools to unpack your “base_scripts.dzip” file;
- Open “game => player => player.ws” with any text editor (e.g., VS Code);
- Go to line 3521 (or search “PlayerRemoveDarkDiffItemsIfNotDarkDiff( );”);
- Add two slashes before this string (or simply delete it). The final result will look like this;
- Then go to line 3721 (or search “Checking if the player's in dark difficulty mode”);
- Remove all lines begin from 3721 to 3744. The result will look like this;
- Save changes and close the editor;
- Use “Gibbed.Red.Pack.exe” to save fixed scripts.

I do not have def_shops.xml file in my CookedPC folder. How to solve that issue?
Check your game launcher settings (dzip file must be enabled (if I don't mistake)).

I want to play insane, but I want to do the quests.
But only once (if you lose equipment after mentioned moments in main commentary, it won't appear again).
Nevertheless, I don't quite understand the "add schematics (or crafted items) to NPC shops" part. Are you saying that we should add the dark items (this file) to any shop we like to add?

Sir: I got it! Thank you very much!
This method do add items to the shop, before you're sure you are able to buy the schematics/items, don't trade with the shop. The reason is that after you leave the trade interface and ask for trade again, all the dark schematics/item are gone, which means you only get one chance to get the schematics/items.
In correct cases, these items will appear as common ones (and respawn after some time).
As it was in my case, after all.
Any tutorial out there?
Please tell me how to modify the base_script.dzip to use the 'Dark Item For All Difficulty Levels' mod only.
what is FCR ? i ask for optional mod
