No need to get all rageous and outrageous toward the mod's creator here. i think that the excessive damage bug comes from FCR2's end. when i install FCR2 on a clean installation of Witcher 2 and start a new game based on "A SAVE FROM WITCHER 1''the bug triggers as well. but it doesn't trigger if i start a new game without loading a WITCHER 1 save. now with Extreme Quality Flora installed, it just somehow triggers the bug inside FCR2. just guessing, but may be it comes from FCR2 damage formula. there may be other mods that trigger the bug inside FCR2. So EatChildren shouldn't take any blame (unless it was for chosing such a nickname :p)
Anyway, it appears that a talented modder has recently uploaded a mod based on Eatchildren's work but without any issue: '' Extreme Vegetation Rendering Distance"". just check it guys it's gem alongside his other mods.
Do not install this broken mod. If you don't install it 'correctly', it will f*#@ up your damage numbers and ruin your save. Gotta love mod authors that release broken mods and then abandon them.
Since this mod author couldn't be bothered, go and download the fixed version of this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher2/mods/898?tab=description and endorse him instead!
1. Navigate to the extreme_quality_flora folder in your UserContent folder. 2. Make a backup of the file "cook.hash" then open the original with notepad. 3. Open the downloaded Extreme Quality Flora Compatibility Patch with notepad. 4. Replace the content of cook.hash with the text from the patch. 5. Save cook.hash and load the mod.
Hi there. Love your mod but I’m having a problem! It seems your mod is working less and less the farther I get in the game. When I first started the mod looked great, I installed it correctly and everything was awesome. But the longer I play I start noticing more and more pop in start to appear. Like for instance, I’ll be running through Flotsam forest and most of the Foliage will render as the mod intends except for this brownish looking foliage that’s apart of the grass, it has really poor rendering and it renders as I run. It seems to have just started getting bad. What could be the issue?
This mod is causing occasional CTD or CTD when trying to speak to some NPC. Unchecking this mod resolves the problem. But the visual gain is so good so I'm trying to play with it anyway,
Other mods I use are: realistic eyes and zero weight.
