I have to wonder if this is actually compatible with the current EE version. I did a comparison of the modified file to my original version, and it removed a -lot- of content as well as adding the new items to the Mysterious Merchant.
I'd recommend using this with caution, as it was last updated 4 years ago. I am not quite brave enough to attempt merging the content at the moment.
How can this mod support all chapters if mysterious merchant is no where to find in the third one (although admitably he still does have table for it)?
I just used notepad++ to paste your modifications into my pre-existing def_shops.xml and it works perfectly. It was also really easy to find the changes because they're commented/labelled, and the mysterious merchant is right down the bottom of the file near the arena shop merchant.
To the people saying that the modder's percentages don't add up: It is not a percentage chance of whether this item will appear as opposed to another item. Each INDIVIDUAL item has an (X in 100) chance of showing up during any given reset. As in, there is room for both Bob and Harry to sit on your sofa, but the chance of Bob showing up for a coffee after work is different to the chance of Harry showing up as they have different schedules and priorities. Think about it folks. If the percentage chance of items appearing in shops worked in game the way you people are picturing them, then each shop would only ever have one item to sell at any given time.
This mod conflicts with other mods which use the def_shops.xml file : and I can't tell you which one that is because I forgot which one I installed that changes that file!
