My saves were in the my docs folder also but I have heard of folks who suddenly found them not loadable because Steam decided it liked the Remote folder better. You should look at the 2 boxes were Steam shows the Synch Cloud. One is with your W2 properties and the other is a Global one here: "I found a menu panel I did not know about it is under Settings/Downloads and Cloud/Enable Steam Cloud synch for apps that support it..." If either of those 2 are checked you may suddenly lose normal access to your saves. You sound like a competent player and could probably figure out the listed process to get Steam to use the My Docs folder if it switches out on you but for me it was kinda tough. Take this warning seriously.
I have the savegame with some other imported ones in the my docs folder but most of the new game savegames are in the remote folder thanks to the steam cloud synch feature. So it does not see your save to load it. Any ideas on how to get it on that start menu listing? My game is W2EE bought via Steam.
first of all, search for windows XMB Editor Download that it's required to tweak the files now If your like me and own a steam copy, you will need to find a mod that adds in these files: def_item_schematics, def_stats_item_armorupgrade.
First of all once you have the xmb downloaded set it to your default program to open these files, Edit def_stats_item_armorupgrade find diamand Armor enhancement and modify the damage reduction to 1000000 (the way this works is, the game modifys Florens value to the items Stats) that also means buy prices as well wich in turn means buying one would imeditatly be in the millions So now we use def_item_schematics now we change the crafting requirments Find the diamond armor enhancment and modify its crafting list by right clicking on the ingrediants in the list delete most of them, leave only diamond dust modify the Count to only 1. Then go to Base Abilitys in the list And modify the Price and craft price to 0, now for this next part (download the Price Changer Mod, and all items added to inkeepers mod) so items are easily at hand. as for the price changer mod it changes (Some) items to 1 Floren each Now considering you have atleast 99 Florens Buy 99 diamond dust from an inkeeper or where ever else then go to a Smither and construct 99 Dia Ar Enh's, Sell them and there ya are Wash, Rinse, Repeat.
Also you can change the crafting stats on some other items aswell (not everything is craftable) to get cheap easy items. but of course, with this procedure it isent neccisary just buy it lol.
Also sorry for not replying any sooner then i have i tottaly forgot i put this up untill yesterday i was like (Dude, i posted that mod for the witcher on the nexus, Yeh? should check dem comments)
You should be able to change FROM Dark Mode to another difficulty level after you load from the savegame. Just make sure that you have non-DM armour/weapons available to equip,
