Brawl I discovered that having the walk/run sensitive Analog Stick causes issue during brawls if you press the stick full. The reason for this is because the controller is being told that you are pressing WSAD twice. Once as slow to walk and again when you hit full to run. The trick is not to fully push the stick during a brawl. The best I've found is removing the sensitivity so that Geralt only runs unless holding L2, but the drawback to this is that you would lose the ability to navigate the menus.
Solution: The trick is to not fully push the stick during a brawl. Half nudges seem to work.
OR
While Brawling Hold (L2 on Playstation or Left Trigger on XBOX) while brawling.
As other people said, I can't find a way to make these mappings to work. JoyToKey is installed and running in administrator mode, the config files are in the right place and appears in the list of joyToKey, I have uninstalled all mods in case there could be a conflict, I have tried with and without steam input, but no matter what, it doesn't change a thing. It just mess with the left analog stick, and launch the medallion power when i try to walk.
It's such a pity cause your mappings seemed amazing. Maybe there is a config problem ? I tried to select keyboard and controller in the game menu, but it stays the same. Any suggestion ? Thanks a lot
In game go to Options and then to Control Options Change the Controller to Keyboard You may also want to turn off controller support in STEAM
Please let me know if this solves the problem. For some reason my (TEMU) PS4 controller is no longer being read as a PS4 controller. I can only test XBOX. But the buttons are different in the downloaded files so I assume it is still setup properly. I believe the issue for everyone was that the controls were being overwritten by the game and STEAM. I had a heck of a time myself figuring out what had changed. But after switching it to keyboard it was working, though I had lost my edge and was playing like crap. Considered making a video but it was just too embarrassing.
Hello sir If you dont mind, can you make the tutorial video for PS4 Controller ?? I found it hard to understand your tutorial Maybe a video might help....
In the image (H) stands for HOLD (DT) stands for DOUBLE TAP (LP) stands for LONG PRESS
If there isn't a ----- separating anything then one click does all of those functions listed. During Combat the LT will BLOCK. If you put away your sword then the LT will function as WALK. The PS button mistakenly left out that you should LONG PRESS to activate the Dice Poker controls. Step by step instructions for using Dice Poker Controls are listed near the bottom of the page.
I don't understand how i am supposed to get this to work. Everything else from nexus has just worked after installing. I have the JoyToKey open during startup like the description says to. Is there something I have to do with it before starting the game? The setup description doesn't really make sense to me so I would appreciate it if I could get some help.
Try running JoyToKey as an Administrator. Beyond that I don't know what you issue is. Do the buttons work outside of the game? If yellow is lighting up then it is working. Did you install the correct file for your gamepad? You can check that by pressing the Swift Attack button. If it lights up as yellow on the [1] then it is PS4 & PS5. If it lights up on [3] then it is XBOX and generic controllers. If that is all working but it's not in game then like I said, try running it as Administrator.
The only thing I see missing in the instructions is to place the profile in the JoyToKey folder located in Documents. Seems kinda self evident but I'll add it.
