Cool, thanks for the quick answer. I just wish CD Projekt Red thought to give Geralt his Striga scar instead of modders such as yourself having to do the work. Doing a great job by the way. I appreciate all your hard work.
Hello! Thanks for your mod! This is amazing!!! My question is: where I can download the "bathsebah edit" for Dandelion so that he looks like "witcher 3 face + bathsebah edit + blue eyes and blonde hair"? I download "Dandelion - Blue Eyes and Blonde Hair" and I get an ordinary a young Dandelion with very bright blue eyes and no red cheeks. No bathsebah (sorry for my English)
Omg and active modder <3 warren can you pls tell me what programs do you use to convert .dds files to .xbm again. It it redkit, quickbms, witcher2 texture convertor? all of them? I don't know if there is a tool out that converts it faster without going through all the hassle with command prompt, directory paths and so on. Honestly i have a headache after trying yesterday for a few hours to make it work. Don't even know what is up to date after so many years. If you can take a few min from your time to just give me a few pointers i will appreciate it a lot.
Well that is it, thank you for your consideration and if you don't feel like it no issues here, i'll figure it out by myself eventually.
Actually since I'm so bad at updating and finishing my own projects I'm in the process of making a guide for retexturing characters for others to try it out for themselves. I use REDkit for exporting the textures as .dds and then reimporting them back in automatically converts them back to .xbm format. I've found that only REDkit can properly reimport the diffuse and normal maps. QuickBMS doesn't properly compress them. I use The WItcher 3D models converter for exporting the models, which I use to bake the W3 textures onto the W2 models in Blender (version 2.80). I've haven't been able to edit meshes and then reimport them back into the game yet though. Feel free to DM me and I'll do my best to answer any questions.
Aww so good to have this validation from you. Yes i discovered yesterday that Redkit was it and it was so easy to do it as well. I just wanted a small modification to Geralt and now i am sure on how to do it or i am getting there. So nice of you making a guide, i can't stress enough on how many times i was stuck on something cuz i forgot a small detail in the process. Thank you so much for taking the time. I am so sure a lot of people are going to appreciate it a lot, me included. So thank you! ♡
Thank you, and you're most welcome. I can definetly share in your pain with struggling and getting stuck in the moding process. I swear it's taken me 10x longer to find all the tools and figuring out how to use them than to actually make a mod, lol.
Hello! I really liked your mod. tell me is it compatible with this mod? https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher2/mods/889?tab=files When I wanted to install your mod, this came out https://ibb.co/mHyBN0T
Hello, sorry for the late reply. If you want to use both together, install the AI Upscale Textures first and then my files and when that prompt comes up for conflicting files, give mine priority and you'll get my character changes and all the other upscaled textures from hub997's mod working togther.
Hi, sorry for the late reply, I didn't see any notifications until I logged into my account. I definetly plan on updating the mod to cover as many characters as I can but real life keeps taking me away from modding. I've realized I'm terrrible with updating my mods in a timely manner so I apologize for that.
Hi, each zip file has different contents, do we add the folder to the game root file, or the contents of the extracted folder? Maybe I am a bit slow but one of the files is called "cooked PC" which is a little alarming, so I don't want to mess it up!
You can drag and drop the 'CookedPC' folder from my files into your game directory/root folder where the game's CookedPC folder already is and it will install correctly. You can check to see if they're installed right by opening the CookedPC folder in the game folder and verify that it has a 'characters' and/or 'game' folder inside of it, depending on what mods you've installed.
