Installation:
Simply put weird_dialogue.adv in your C:\Users\Public\Documents\The Witcher folder.
It's the folder with m1_module.adv and other modules.
When you start the game go to New Game -> New adventures
and select The Weird World of the Witcher.

When I saw the video to MadGangster's mod, the Malkavian Mod for Deus Ex 1
(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-faAQIjbJZE), I thought that it was simply great.
After the Malkavian Mod stopped getting updates I wanted more, but couldn't find
anything like it, so I made a mod of my own (well, there's Deus Ex: The Recut,
but that's just a video). I used The Witcher 1 as the base, since it has lots of
great dialogue and, above all, an editor with a wiki.

This mod only contains voiced dialogue, nothing more and nothing less.
I've created several hundred new dialogue lines using the audio editing
program Audacity as well as having unchanged ones put into new contexts.
This way I've gotten the major characters to say things they would never
have dreamed of saying in the original game, all using their own voices.

I suggest using subtitles to get the most out of it, since that strengthens
the suspense of disbelief. Far from all dialogue sounds natural, you can often hear
quite clearly that a dialogue line is made up of several separate bits of different
voice clips, but I've focused on fun dialogues here.

The Weird World of the Witcher v. 1.0:
Listen to what Azar Javed, the Grand Master and Professor has to say.

The Weird World of the Witcher v. 1.1:
Now you can also talk to Zoltan. Otherwise no changes, just drop the module file in
the same folder as above and choose to overwrite the old one.

The Weird World of the Witcher v. 2.0:
6 new characters have been added (Adda, Dandelion, Leuvaarden, Shani, Triss, Yaevinn).
At this point, with a total of 10 characters and more than 650 dialogue lines, I feel like
I'm finished with this mod and don't expect to update it anymore. I'm gonna focus on reducing
my backlog now. If I get better at modding, I might do a similar mod for other games.
There are too few mods like the Malkavian Mod and The Weird World of the Witcher.

The Weird World of the Witcher v. 2.0a:
I've restored voice files to some dialogue lines that were silent. I played the mod on my new PC
which has Windows 10, where I discovered one silent line. After that, I checked all lines and
found a couple more. I want my mod to be 100 % finished, not 98 or 99 %, so that's why I'm
uploading this mod again. Geralt doesn't have his studded leather jacket in this version
and less money, because I can't get the scripts to work like they used to for some reason.

The Weird World of the Witcher v. 2.0b:
Apparently, the voice files were never a part of the module before. It just so happens that
I was able to hear the voiced dialogue simply because I had all the mod files in the game
directory and the game was thus able to find them. A helpful person over at Nexusmods forum,
KnightZ07, informed me of this and with their advice plus some trial and error I was able
to figure out that there was an option called "Add to module" when right-clicking the sound
files. I did so for each and every one and now they are finally inside the module and people
can actually hear what I've spent so long to create.

Acknowledgements:
Thanks to MadGangster for inspiring me in the first place with his Malkavian Mod for Deus Ex 1.
While I've done everything myself, I would never have gotten anywhere without the Djinni Wiki,
http://djinni.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page. Thanks to all the people who made contributions
to that site and thanks again to KnightZ07 for your help.
