If you installed it correctly, you should choose 'New adventures' after you press 'New Game'. Then, in the list you should find TVoR.

I don't know what I've done wrong, i placed the files where they should be, in Documents and when i try to load the mods, teh adventure, in game, it tells me the save isn't there?

I'm a Big fan of the lore and books and this is teh type of content i love, it'd be silly to miss out if i did something wrong.

    Help?

Remember that you have two folders named "The Witcher" in Documents. One is where your saved games are located (Documents/The Witcher/saves), the other is where you install the adventures (Documents/The Witcher).
I don't know what you mean by "the save isn't there', but if you installed TVoR_1.adv and TVoR_2.adv into the correct "The Witcher" folder, then it should be working.

And if you play in a different language than the two provided for the mod, change to either of them in the game options, for example to English, otherwise you're going to have an empty text.

I put the files in the right folder, under Documents - I even tried putting in both "documents" places at the same time, and everytime i run the mod it tells me the save file is corrupted or isnt there. Every other adventure mod that ive installed, in the right folder, runs smoothly with no problems and has no save corrupted message.

I really want to play this, but i have no idea what ive done wrong.

I'm afraid that it should work after you start a new adventure with this mod after having installed it. Are you sure your downloaded files weren't corrupted? Redownloading them might help. And putting the files in one Documents folder is really enough - the one where the other adventures are.

Now I think about it... Do you have the autosave option on? If so, turn it off and start a new adventure - choose TVoR1 or 2.

Yeah, tried that as well. In fact ive tried everything and it's a no go. Every other Adventure/quest mod i installed, worked perfectly, this one keeps telling me that the save file is corrupt/missing, whenever i try to start it and it won't start.

I really don't know what else can be wrong, at this point.

I don't know too, I've got no idea why it doesn't work for you, it looks like everything's in order with your game if the other adventures work, just not this one. It seems, you'll have to make do with the short stories in their original form.

Sigh, such a shame. I Love the books and would have loved to play some of those adventures. Alas.
In any case, thanks for the continuous response and patience.

You're welcome, I wish I could've found a solution to your issue, unfortunately I couldn't replicate the problem in my game, the mod works for me... Good luck, I'm glad you enjoy the books so much.

Indeed, it's an interesting project for sure, it'd be nice to see how it's progressing, the last update was in September by now. Which is a pity, because looking at the number of endorsements, there are certainly people waiting for another short story, it's worth to try finishing it one day, About the models, my pick is within the "Lesser Evil" part, one of Renfri's gang, Fifteen, could take the model of a fat inkeeper/bandit from the campaign, I know that in the story Fifteen was described as having almost no top armour/clothing, and the mentioned model is clothed, but I think it'd fit more than the tall and muscular bandit model. But it's just a detail, another one is that you could name Renfri's gang members, in the game they were all named "Bandit" I think, it'd be nice to see "Tavik" or "Civril" over the characters. But as I said, small details.

Summing up, the idea of bringing the short stories to life in The Witcher 1 is an intriguing one, looking forward to seeing the rest of the stories here. Besides, I've been watching this mod for some time and the silence in this thread has been disturbing, I hope more users will write suggestions here, the mod certainly deserves more. Good luck, BnW Project, if you can, maybe write how's the progress on the next update.

haha that's great! Well I think the Skullheads might be a more suited model for Nivellen but oh well, am looking foward on these adventures and hope you will release more in the future.

Hello, boy! I would like to express my subjective opinion about your work. The idea is curious. But the implementation is quite weak.
Despite this, you are worthy of approval and attention. You deserve it because you managed to finish the job and learn the basics of the editor. Unfortunately, your module has no special artistic value, because you just copied someone else's text and voice into the lines of the dialogues. It seems to me that for fans of books and a series of games, this approach may seem offensive or mocking.
This is my personal evaluation opinion. But even despite my position, I don't think you should stop. Keep learning the toolset and get better.
But try to create something of your own, original. Keep experimenting. But do not stagnate and you should not exploit someone else's creativity so openly. Good luck on your way to perfection!

Thank you for your feedback. This is my first job on the Witcher 1 editor. I've been interested in modding for the last couple of years and decided to create this add-on. It was a very interesting experience, first of all for myself, and I came up with the idea to transfer one of the book stories to the game and see what would come out in the end.
In no way did I try to offend the fans of the book and game series, which I myself am, although I understand that the author's artistic idea is not in my modification. I will take your advice into account and try to develop my skills in this area. As soon as I finish working on the English localization, I will stop simply copying text from books to the game.

f*#@ the guy above, I've rarely seen that much of a snob attitude. I think it's obvious the guy has some superiority complex with his mod about a date with Yennefer, (basically incel fan-fiction) and since nobody cares about his uninteresting story, he comes here to try and lift himself up and his personal s#*! fan-fiction by criticizing you.

You can tell he didn't come with good intent as soon as he started the comment with "Hello boy !" meaning he's some condescending ass, followed by "your module has no special artistic value, because you just copied someone else's text and voice into the lines of the dialogues" I mean who the f*#@ that guy think he is ? I'd like to know how does he expect someone to record fully voice-acted dialogue by modding, or just to add "artistic value" as he says, probably not able to follow up on what he means by it.

"But try to create something of your own, original" here we have a ego-maniac, thinking that because he wrote yet another fan-fiction, he's somehow a creative mind, when in reality he's a nobody that hasn't wrote s#*! that's worth anyone's attention.

"you should not exploit someone else's creativity so openly" oh my god this guy..... By someone else's creativity, he means the original author of the books, as if you were robbing Sapkowski of something, while you're showing love to the books.

"seems to me that for fans of books and a series of games, this approach may seem offensive or mocking" As a fan of the books, this is straight up pure bullshit, it's not mocking and you have to be the biggest b&@*$ on earth to find this "offensive"

I came here to hang around to see what's new, and I've uninstalled the game a few months back, but I love the idea of the mod, and I want you to know that there is nothing wrong with implementing some of Sapkowski's shortstories to get them some love, and it's actually a great idea, regardless of how it's done.
For all I care, you could have straight up copied the shortstories and put them in some ingame-book and it would have still been a great homage to Sapkowski's work.
There is absolutely no need to prove yourself to author wannabes like the neckbearded snob above, don't apologize and take his s#*! criticism for granted.

      Have a great one.

You know, I agree with you. I acted like a snob. I was aware of the fact that the guy is quite young and addressed him inappropriately in the context of the forum, but I just wanted to emphasize that at a young age he was able to managed to master some of the intricacies of the toolkit and successfully publish a completed project, which certainly deserves praise. Even I didn't manage to figure some things out. Now let me explain what I meant by "artistic value." Perhaps I put it too harshly, but at that moment I wanted to emphasize the fact that the author did not bother to adapt the story. He literally pulled Sapkovsky's texts and quotes from his stories and someone's voice from an audiobook with a Russian-speaking narrator. It confused me. It confused me not as an author (Yennefers Valentine has nothing to do with me), but as just a fan. It seemed to me like an exploitation of someone else's work. I decided to share my opinion, labeling it "subjective" in advance, not claiming to be true, but merely expressing my own feelings.

I just finished playing this and I find it a good adaption of parts of one of the books. The english translation has some minor errors as happens in translations but nothing those of us who are familiar with the story can't handle and figure out.
