Hi. I'm using the Complete Word Overhaul mod and I want to replace one of the meteor swords with your mod, renamed the files. It turns out that there is only a black sword model in the game without textures. Can you tell me how to fix this?
For example I changed the RRR Metorite Sword from Complete Sword Overhault to the Wolven Lvl 2 Steelsword.
So I renamed it_stlswd_001.mdb from this mod to it_stlswd_002.mdb and replaced it with the file of the same name in \Override\z_zSwords_DM\steel_swrds\RRR Afterwards also paste in steel_lvl2.dds and steel_lvl2_n.dds <- do NOT rename these files, just put them in the folder mentioned above
Should have the new sword model with textures now!
My guess is the names for the texture files are stored in the .mdb file so if you change their name the model can't find it's correct textures. Which makes sense.
So, let's see if I understood correctly. if I want to change the appearance of any sword I need to take its .mdb files and raname so it can replace the original file in the selected folder, then I should take the .dds files and place them in the selected folder as they are, without changing the names (and deleting the old textures becuase they aren't needed). Did I get it right?
Hi there I'm just looking at how to install the mod, but I'm not seeing a Data folder....I'm playing through Steam and it's the Witcher 2 EE - can you or anyone else help please??
At the moment I don't have time for modding, I'm managing real life projects these days :)
But in late autumn I will return and finish my new TW1 Geralt head for TW2. After that I will try to bring new 3D character models to TW1 but hub997 also working on that project. We will see.
As you say, I will definitely make a 1.2 update next week :D
Honestly, I don't play with my mods. Oh man, I don't play at all since a year so I don't test my mods. I have feedback only from users so it is possible that I left in some mistakes :)

Every information what needed to do this, is on the Djinni Wiki page.

Some information are on the polish pages, so you must search a bit. It was a long trial and error road, but everything is on the web.

Have you taken into account the problems with the sword effects (runes, oils, etc) that I have warned you about?
