Did you check the notes for GoG version on the description? As well as the location, I have GoG version and it was located in the location noted there.
thanks mate, although I don't exactly understand what to do still as the page of text contained in theKeyboard.txt file still does not mean anything to me as I am inexperienced on the subject of keyboards and what the text means in relation to key bindings , I would really appreciate it if you could simply tell me what keys are compatible with this mod, preferably keys that can also be used easily on a 65% keyboard, thanks again
EDIT: I figured it out! fairly easy, my bad, I would have deleted this comment but see no option to do so, thanks :)
Great, glad you got it all sorted. Dunno if you can delete messages. You can delete the message contents by editing them, but not the message box or who it came from.
Hi and thanks. Actually these versions do not have an ingame interface. They operate directly from the settings file, which has to be changed manually. It is located in the sweetfx folder.
The reshade interface was only added after they stopped pairing it with sweetfx and made the newer reshade standalone version. This includes changing the setting file setups and functions. You can manually transfer the settings from one to the other but you also would have to add the related shaders to do so, then you would have a menu ingame.
Although the reshade with sweetfx versions do say there is a new reshade update, it will break the older paired versions if you update it. Meaning only manually transferring from reshade with sweetfx to reshade standalone will work between the two in order to give it a menu.
Hi thx for preset, do you know how can you merge or combine two d3d9.dll files from this preset and from this program: https://github.com/doitsujin/dxvk Oh found that and it didn't help https://www.reddit.com/r/pcgaming/comments/hirdfp/dxvk_is_amazing_on_windows/fwi6vmi/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3
Normally if you have two d3d9 files of the same name, you rename one of them to dxgi.dll. That will allow them to run side by side normally. I'll have a look at the links when I have a chance.
hi, I have the steam version, pressing Shift + F2 as you describe in your gameplay video, changes the camera to that click and move setting. Any way we can change the Hotkeys, cheers
Just been trying to sort this out on my game. Must read install location on steam game correctly as i placed in the main directory not the System folder as asked. Once installed game looked great so tnx for your effort
this literally makes the game not start you can't run reshade on the witcher anymore i followed all your steps and when i start the game i get an error code uninstalling reshade solved it
That can happen with some machines, depending on video card or other issues. If you check the troubleshooting section of the mod that should help, or I can try to help you get it working. If you have an nvidia then use the nvidia optimus fix with it and that will normally correct the issue. If not let me know. Links under troubleshooting.
Hi, I'm not really sure if SGSSAA could be causing the shimmering, I haven't used that AA but normally you would just disable it then test to see if the issue is corrected, if so then that would be the cause.
Although looking into the issue abit I did come across some info on the problem. It seems to have been driver related for most with Nvidia's or possibly an incomplete or damaged DirectX install. Check for any driver updates for your card and add the DIRECTX9 to your Win10, the link and setup video is here https://youtu.be/yMNVLoxD8fQ
Also, does the issue occur without the mod, or just after it is installed?
Normally for AA I don't force any AA, but I do always have MFAA enabled (MFAA isn't supported by all games but having it on doesn't effect the preset) in the Nvidia control panel and ingame usually I disable the ingame AA so the SMAA from the preset takes over. But you can test it with the available ingame AA's to determine which looks better. Anisotropic filtering is fine to use with the presets too, although if you have it on, try turning it off to see if that corrects the shimmering.
I'll wait for an answer back & do abit more checking on the shimmering issue. It's not something I've had an issue with, but I'll try to help with whatever info I find on the issue.
Thanks for the reply. I went and disabled SMAA in favor of SGSSAA and seems a bit better. Besides, I don't like letters being smudged from Post-processing AAs when I can help it. All in all, I think it had to do with SMAA. Again, thanks for the great reshade. Wticher 1 solely lacked any decent preset for a very long time.
OK sounds good. Just to mention, it's usually FXAA that can cause that smudge type looks to the text in some games. So if you were having an issue with that, normally I'd check FXAA first. But otherwise, glad I could help and thanks also:D
So, I finally got to start playing this game due to current events... I am noticing some blotches on screen that look sorta like AO shadows permanently stuck on screen once I alt-tab back into game after started using this reshade. Do you by chance know what might be causing this? Nevermind: I tried without reshade and still does it. I am guessing this has something to do with Driver forced AO and new NVIDIA driver I installed yesterday for CoD: Warzone... Again, love the reshade!!!

I just got a 60% keyboard so I do not have the scroll lock key...
I tried to edit the global settings file from
#define ReShade_ToggleKey VK_SCROLL
to
#define ReShade_ToggleKey VK_L
(I tried to change my keybind to the letter L but this did not work, why is this? and can I actually change the keybind?)
cheers
Goto the sweetfx/docs folder and the keyboard txt files can be found there.
They are also listed here:
https://github.com/TylerVigario/Sweeter-SweetFX/blob/master/bin/Debug/SweetFX/ReShade%200.1%20SweetFX/SweetFX/KeyCodes.txt
VK_L isn't one of the bindings listed.

Check in the sweetfx folder for the DOCS folder, the keyboard settings files are located there.
Glad it helped.
