Thank you for the mod! Works with the edits, but is it possible to make the "vanilla" camera default? I would only want to switch to FPP in certain situations, not every time I enter a location.
>>"Then you got to edit the file... TPP MinDist to -0.1 the 1st person camera will always start facing straight ahead instead of down."<<
This works pretty good. Also it seems easier to manage combat and get the yellow fire arrow rather than massively clicking around where the 3rd person just gets in the way too much by comparison!
I made the comment flashier to the eye in hopes of helping more people, it seemed to have been tucked away I guess. Glad to have helped. Even if I don't remember posting this lol.
I am having troubles to get the mod to actually work. I did download it to the right folder, in Data. I have enhanced edition on steam, if that matters. Anyway, if anyone could help me find a fix that would be perfect! I would love to take some screenshots of the nature, but it's hard when Geralt is there in OTS lol
I’m using Steam version, using a Steam Controller, this mod is working for me, however... any time I hit a loading screen, when i regain control I get forced back into 1st person view, and is pointed straight down at the floor... So i have to manually back the camera out to OTS view. It only takes a second or two for me to fix it, but it happens every single time.
This is really a double-edged sword, so to speak, because the mod also *kind of* fixes a problem with the Vanilla camera system: in Vanilla you can use ‘page up/down to change camera ‘zoom’ level, but it only moves in or out very slightly... with use of this 1st person/fpp mod, for some reason, the camera zoom control can now pull back far enough to see Gearalt’s whole body (useful for fighting groups), stay at mid-distance (<- what I would want to be “default’), and then zoomed all the way in for 1st person (Only want to use for looking around / perspective)
The only saving grace is the bioware engine’s active pause system, so i can take that couple seconds, reset the camera, and then fight. If it weren’t for that, I’d have to delete the mod.. too many times the game springs combat on you straight out of cutscenes!
If any one knows how to have set the defaulted camera position to that mid-distance position, please comment. Thank you to @tommy5761 for the mod.
I played The Witcher when it first came out several years ago, loved it and read the books. Had to dive in again of course after the show. The one problem that I've always had with RPGs is lack of 1st person perspective. Thanks very much for your effort. Your work is fantastic and allowed me to see this great game from a new and better perspective.
Works for me as of 12/19/2019. As an avid virtual photographer I thank you very much. Have to figure out how to hide the reticle and the ui now. Thank you again cheers!
do u found dee waee for nospot nohud my friend? or mayby something for slow walk with simple jumps? devs still cant really understand us, what we are as a custumers and players want see in every single games ahhh

*also it works with ROTWW mod, you need to put all files from No crosshair and Extreme Immersion Mod to Override folder and Data\z_zrotww\GUI too
If anyone knows how to fix VSync problem, tell me about it, still nothing works for me, that's so anoying .. And also many people want see jump mod, bexause Geralt already can jump in the fight time, this animation is alredy in the game by default, but just not availble in chill time by the key, someone please grab it and put that function in another slot like walk mod in keyboard menu!

On my hunt for mods I found a tweak on helixmod:
"Then you got to edit the file...
TPP MinDist to -0.1 the 1st person camera will always start facing straight ahead instead of down."
link to full thread: http://helixmod.blogspot.ca/2014/05/witcher.html
so after you install this mod, open up adventure editor, and do just that. You will have fixed the mod yourself.
If you edit the TPP mindist to 3.0 it loads in third person.
Anyway, if anyone could help me find a fix that would be perfect! I would love to take some screenshots of the nature, but it's hard when Geralt is there in OTS lol
