In the original game it's great to see so many types of food and drinks (mostly alcohol beverages). But I've never been content with the fact their regeneration effects last only for 10 in-game minutes. The mod makes it more closely to how food and drinks work - once eaten/drunk, their benefits work for a longer time than ten minutes.

The first game has three regeneration levels for drinks (non-alcohol ones) and five levels for food types. The cheapest and most available food and drinks give the lowest Vitality or Energy regeneration, whereas they increase if one buys or finds food/beverage of a better quality. I think the vanilla regenration values are okay, that's why I don't change them. I only change the duration of their effects.
As we know, thirst is accumulated faster, hunger increases more slowly. That's what I had in mind as a base when thinking of the values. Also the better the quality is, the higher regeneration and duration are. Now it'll be a good incentive to go to a tavern and eat a good meal before going on a task. A well fed and hydrated witcher stands a better chance to return from a dangerous contract.
Drinks:
1st level of Energy regeneration - duration: 10 minutes/changed to 30 minutes
2nd level of regeneration - duration: 10 minutes/changed to 45 minutes
3rd level of regeneration - duration: 10 minutes/changed to 60 minutes
Food:
1st level of Vitality regeneration - duration: 10 minutes/changed to 60 minutes
2nd level - duration: 10 minutes/changed to 80 minutes
3rd level - duration: 10 minutes/changed to 100 minutes
4th level - duration: 10 minutes/changed to 120 minutes
5th level - duration: 10 minutes/changed to 140 minutes
