You're not sure? Did I not write where to install the mod in the description? Data or Data/Override - it's up to you, it works either way, though Override is the specific folder for modded files. I can only suggest installing the folder according to the description manually, one does not need a mod manager for it.
It's okay, I realise you asked in general more, about any mods for the game - manual installation is very easy, you won't have a trouble with managing them. Data/Override is usually the folder to go (create it it's not in Data by default), unless a modder specifically suggests their mod is to be installed into Data. I hope you have fun with TW1 mods, there are quite a lot of them to try.
thanks, i do have and a curse setup exe from moddb i looked to make sure it works with witcher enhanced edition, curious if theres some trainers here to give gold and infinite health to enhance the gameplay experience
"And a Curse, and Love, and Betrayal"? Yeah, good choice with that fan adventure, adventures (.adv) are installed differently than common mods for the game, and some have their own installer. About that gameplay enhancing, well, I believe the gameplay is enhanced enough when one plays it fair, so I'll leave that endeavor up to you
Nice, I saw these inconsistencies in files, and I was wondering if I'm not understanding the stats or something, while working on my mod. Maybe we can work together on a new mod combining this and the one I made: a mod that adds swords craftable from 6 meteorite pieces: https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher/mods/1109
I reverse engineered the crafting system code so we can also add other combinations of meteorites/runes, maybe even new upgrade items?
I have seen your mod, an interesting idea, I like the logic of them being much more powerful than the standard forged swords. It sounds great, although for the moment I'm quite busy with working on DA: Origins projects. When I have time, we will talk more about it, I certainly don't mind the idea of combining strengths
There's one simple method to make them compatible - the mods you mention, don't change the stats, but only the visuals. My .uti files are mostly needed for the changed descriptions. If you use the .lua file only, you'll certainly have the changed stats and working models/meshes from the other mods, but with the vanilla descriptions.
But when it comes to the forged swords, .utis from my mod are necessary. the meteorite and runic swords' stats were changed the most and they require those files. I made the mod based on the vanilla models and meshes, and it requires a permission from the authors of these mods in order to make them compatible.
Your 3x Rune EXTRA bonuses should include a bonus for moon rune as well. It only gives it the extra 10% attack and damage. Earth and Sun get 10% attack, damage AND 15% silver sensitivity- meaning that Moon sword should get a total of 60% silver sensitivity bonus!
I thought about, but +45% silver senstivity is a lot, considering the 3x Moon silver sword has +40% dmg like the other 3x swords. Even my Aerondight has only +30% silver sensitivity and is a legendary sword. In my opinion +45% in the 3x Moon sword case is still a lot.
Hello, I appreciate another new mod, but what is the difference between this current mod and this mod? https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher/mods/1100?tab=description , because I already use this one. Forgive me if I didn't notice the difference
Hello, there's nothing wrong in asking. The other mod of mine that you mention, Sword Stats Fixes, fixes things the vanilla way, which means the stats should be the same as in the original descriptions. Sword Stats Rebalance is a rework of the stats - I've always found some of the vanilla stats questionable and the meteorite and runic swords clearly needed an overhaul - and this mod here does it.
It's a normal thing - that's how .uti files work, if you already have an item in your inventory, it won't be changed. You need to get a new copy of an item - then you'll see the changes. A new game is adviced to see all the new additions.
