The mod fixes an issue with drowners and drowner dead not being affected by the Necrophage Oil, even though they are Necrophages - they had a wrong category in their .utc files. I also decided to add Devourers. We don't meet them too often, but they were erroneously classified as Vampires.

The developers had probably planned at some point to put drowners in a different monster type, namely the same one an archespore or a werewolf can be found in. The fact that every drowner had the very same wrong category, tells that.
I think I went through every drowner character found in the game files. There are two versions provided: one for the FCR 1.6 users and the other for the vanilla players. Even if the files may not be much different from one another, I'll have a clear conscience if I post two separate versions, just in case.
Both FCR and non-FCR files have the feature found in mods that stop disappearing bodies, so don't worry about compatibility with such mods. Meaning, that this mod changes only the drowners and nothing else. Try not to have duplicates of the same files, because if another drowner.utc gets loaded by the game, it'll be without the fix.
Update: I've added the Devourers fix for the vanilla game - it's fixed in FCR 1.6. I'm sure they are scary, but they defintely aren't Vampires. Now they are Necrophages as they should be.
Installation: Obviously, choose the version you need and drop the folder (you can rename it to Drowners are Necrophages for an easier recognition) into Data/Override.
Uninstallation: Remove the folder from Data/Override
