Chainmail and emblems look greatly improved.
I do notice a lot of the finer details are lost on the fabric, e.g., the wrinkles and folds in the cloth, the tears & dirt smudges, etc.
Overall a good mod if you want your guards to look like they have fresh, well-maintained uniforms.

Yeah, actually, I added a little dirt so it wouldn't look so clean. But yes you're right, the tears, wrinkles and most of the dirt is gone, it would be hard for me to recreate it.

What are you using for your textures? I already have uploaded a few mods myself, but would love to try updating them with your tehnique.

Hi, I think there's no secrets or complicated techniques or anything like that. First I'll say that I didn't use normal maps, I mean these purple textures. And did not use them simply because I do not have the knowledge how to make them for The Witcher 1, so I think your knowledge is more than mine).

      My workflow:
After I found the texture, I convert it to png. Then I upscale the png file. So that if I can't replace something with my texture it will already look good. I upscale it on iloveimg. Then I edit it in an editor, such as photoshop. I apply my own textures I mean, I'm overlaying them to match their shapes for vanilla textures. I found textures in the Internet. Convert it back to a dds file and it's done. And finally, the cherry on the cake, I sharpened up a little bit for my final impoved texture. As I said, there is nothing super complicated. I don't think your technique is worse, maybe we just use slightly different approach and steps, but your mods are awesome!

I guess my thing is that I don't just upscale, I apply my found quality textures. And because of that it looks very good compared to the original texture, especially comparing it to 512x512. However, somewhere, I'll admit to just upscale the textures because they looked good as it is. It's also possible it's because of the "downplaying" of the HD Retexture name, because essentially my enhanced textures are 2048x2048 resolution, which is 2k. But I don't want such loud names and prefer, as ltsheppard called his mods, just HD Retexture, although his textures were also in 2k, not 1280x720

And by the way I'll take this opportunity to ask you how to create normal maps for edited textures? I know one program, but it's not the right one. In witcher 1, they're transparent and faint. By the way I saw when you recently updated your Working Girls HD Upscaled Pack
mod, you also said later that you didn't get the problem fixed, I noticed that you use dfferent normal maps, bright. And if you use them, then the character model will look as if wet and shiny, which is what happened in the update, which you later fixed. Can you tell me please, did you learn how to work with them, with normal maps? They're just a bit of a mystery to me.
