Selkies are a type of shapeshifting cryptid of yore -- large seals that live near the Orkney Isles and can shed their seal's skin to take the shape of human women. A fisherman lucky enough (or cruel enough) to seize a selkie's skin while she was sunbathing could make her stay on land as his bride. Presumably there are male ones too.

This pack includes two sets of whiskers and a magic sealskin made up of hair, cloak, and pauldrons. The hairs may be selected at character creation (two styles of "hood" with two hairstyles each); the cloak and pauldrons are augments.  Options: The "Standard Edition" file builds the cloak and pauldrons as regular augments.  The "Sealskin Quest" file looks the same ... but the cloak and pauldrons will remain on your hero in the Legacy, so you can run a quiet multi-lifetime quest to get their sealskin back and keep it.  The more augment mods you have, the harder it will be to find the seal parts!

Whiskers in your choice of light or dark turn up in a special "markings" slot added to the customization interface; you've got a roughly 1% chance of them turning up on background NPCs as well.  Useful for kids whose parent took Lochias' bargain, too!

Sealskin elements are matched to the hair color, which means that they'll pale and desaturate as your hero ages (and if you happen to meet a glowy will-o'-the-wisp who wants to mark your selkie, you will end up with a green seal).
