A bit after your question, but i found it that after i limit the gpu buffered frames to 4 the flickering isn't there (also made sure to install legacy effects)
I installed Reshade going by the directions, installed the apex.ini and the game crashes at startup. I tried it twice with no luck. Not sure what I did wrong. I selected DX 10,11,12 during install
I just want to say that this APEX ReShade with Watch Dogs Remastered Mod looked incredible and photorealistic. Everyone should give it a try! Currently playing with this combination. Thanks! For anyone that doesn't know how to install: Download ReShade and install it in bin folder. After you have installed, paste the APEX.ini inside /bin folder aswell. Then, press 'Home' ingame and select the APEX.ini config. That's it.
It baffles me that people are having issues making this work. It is NOT a mod, it does not need to be "merged" with anything. Just install ReShade for DX10/11/12, put Apex.ini in the game folder where you can find it, start game, press Home and select it as the preset once ReShade loads up. It's incredibly simple. Anyway, looks great. Thanks for the upload, haskeer212.
Wrong, the Apex.ini file goes SPECIFICALLY in the "C:\Program Files\Epic Games\WatchDogs\bin" folder and even you forgot to mention this. Which makes your entire post not even helpful but venting at a new modders frustration which is terrible P.R. for our small modding community. This is mentioned in the instructions toward the bottom of the "Description" tab page. Not everyone is born a 'gamer' or even a coder/modder. Maybe you should tone down the condescension and not berate people who are genuinely lost trying to install a mod when it is not so simple to be that specific in file placement. It is perfectly reasonable for a person to get lost because the instructions are a little hard to find toward the bottom of the first tab.
The other thing not mentioned is what presets should you install when you install ReShade for the Watchdogs game and this information is non-existent and leaves a new person to wonder. The answer to that is the defaults are fine. No extra presets of ReShade install are required but the defaults and you can hit next > next > next through the entire ReShade install. The other choice you may come across in the ReShade installation that is not mentioned anywhere for the game compatibility protocols and drivers (unless you know where the game compatibility page is and its here: ReShade#Compatibility_list) which is to choose "DirectX (10/11/12)" as a choice in the ReShade install first page when start the install for it. BE the solution you want to see, not the problem you are bitchin' about, is my humble recommendation.
Sorry i have done all the steps and in the shade menu when i press home i chose the APEX.ini but then nothing happens when i press shift+f2, is there an extra step not mentioned? I am using the uplay version so is that a problem?

Thanks for the detailed and helpful post passionfly1 tho. Even tho you missed one thing. Legacy effects need to be installed to make it work properly.
UPD Ok I read it from the friend above. Thank you passionfly!!!
