Idk if I'm doing anything wrong but when I try to download the MelonLoader version I don't get the zip file but a 7Z file (Idk what this is either) so it doesn't work with MelonLoader. If you have any tips or might know what I'm doing wrong I'd appreciate if you could tell me

I tried both versions and neither one is working for me at all. Is it working for anyone else?

Can it be increased further then six? Or is six the hard limit on the game?

I would also like to know the answer to this. As far as I've played, the game seems pretty loose around it's rules and it should be possible to increase the squad cap to more than six unless the squad cap is hard encoded into the game code itself.

    For Melonloader version.

Install Melonloader 0.5.4 - this is not the latest version but this version can be installed from the same .exe as the latest version
When installing: target wasteland3.exe wherever you have it installed
Download the melonloader version of this mod, it comes as a .zip
Unzip the download into the "Mods" folder added by melonloader in your wasteland 3 directory(it's in the same folder the .exe is in).
Run Wasteland 3 and check the Melonloader window that opens to see if this mod loaded correctly.
    Play with more custom rangers!

For anyone wondering how to use the BepInEx version of this, you need a IL2CPP BepInEx build, mono versions do not work here. Go to the Github Page linked in the description and click on releases on the right side, then under BepInEx 6.0.0-pre.1 click on Assets and look for a File named BepInEx_UnityIL2CPP_x64_6.0.0-pre.1.zip, it is the latest build at the time of the post.

Extract the zip to your Wasteland 3 Folder and run the game, the first start should now take some time while it looks that nothing happens but it creates Folders and Files. Quit the Game after it started and you should now have a "Wasteland 3\BepInEx\plugins" Folder. You can simply put this File and other BepInEx mods in there.

I currently use this Mod, Free Retrain and Better Equipment Mods together and it works fine. The Version of BepInEx that comes with Better Equipment Mods does not work for me, so this is the only Version i found that works.

The version of BepInEx that comes with Better Equipment Mods does work for me for all three mods (this one, Free Retrain and Better Equipment Mods)...
So, try that one first because it's not obvious to navigate on Github. I couldn't find BepInEx_UnityIL2CPP_x64_6.0.0-pre.1.zip.

    Hi,
This mod works well with MelonLoader 0.5.4b.

But it didn't work with MelonLoader 0.6.1b (latest).
There was a long error message (in red) with, among many things, a reference to an adress that didn't exist, d:\a\... (the game is installed on another drive).

My game is v1.6.9.420.309496 on Windows 11.

Free Retrain 1.0.0 also works with MelonLoader 0.5.4b (I haven't try with v0.6.1b).

    Thanks for both mods, Coomzy.

i found one exploit and i am pretty sure its because of this mod.
my sniper has almost every pet buff > at the same time< and >the pet is not even following him<
theres 3 things good about this:
    1:multiple buffs
2:the pet cant die, and some pets theres only 1 in the game like major tom (not the same as normal cats buff) and billy jean
3:theres no extra 10 seconds each round for a pet attack that does nothing

how to do it if you want to try:
take one character, lets call him " bob "
    make bob tame any animal
go to sargent in HQ and take bob out of the team, and exit the screen with one less party member
talk and recruit any of the companions, aka lucia/kwon, etc
go back to sargent, take out the companion kwon/whatever and come back with bob

if it works, bob whould still have the first animal buff, the pet does not follow him anymore, and if bob tame another animal,it does NOT replace the animal buff, and you got both at the same time!
you can repeat how many times you want with all the pets you have!
and ONE MORE good thing, the pet stays on the ground, and can be tamed by ANOTHER party member and he wil get the buff, and bob will NOT lose the buff.

Nothing to do with the Mod. Base Game has had that glitch even after they "patched" it out.

if your having troubles while running melonloader it will tell you what version it is do not use latest click the square next to version and it will allow you to scroll what version you want.  0.5.4 is what you want also below it make sure if your running 64 system. default is x86. do the same for that. when done running it put the .dll file into the mod folder. i got mine to work that way.

Thanks for the mod, it helped me a lot! I only found out after 40 hours of playing that you can create your rangers at the base (and reset the attributes of companions).
I started again, I wanted to create my own team completely, I created an image, a story, a name (roleplay), even individual avatars for everyone! After that, again due to my inattention, I learned that only 4 rangers can be created.
It was annoying, but I felt that I was not the only one who did not like it. Thanks again!
