The Historical Units Mod is a Localization Mod for War Thunder which renames the vehicles in-game to a much more historically accurate and correct standard. This mod also fixes the errors and inconsistencies in the default localization of the game.

This mod features: - Historically accurate names for all tanks, ships and aircraft, including manufacturer's names, model names for tanks and aircraft Examples: Bell P-39N-0-BE Airacobra, North American P-51D-5-NA Mustang, Lockheed P-38G-1-LO Lightning - Historically correct German tank names - More accurate designations for ground vehicles - More concise naming for vague names present in the default game Examples: ARL-44 (With ACL-1 turret), Yermolayev Yer-2 (With M-105 engines), Polikarpov I-185 (Prototype with M-82A engine) - NATO codenames and Allied codenames for applicable Soviet, Chinese and Japanese vehicles respectively (Available in stat-cards) - A unified battle name system - Class names for ships in battle - Fixes for incorrect and inconsistent vehicle names Examples: T26E4 Super Pershing, Kanonenjagdpanzer, AMX-30R
