Could you by chance fix this for controller? It won't allow button mapping assignments.
(same deal with keepswinging, but for some reason when I turn on default to auto-swing and modifier those fix it without it being unassigned whereas it does not work with fullauto)
You allow in the mod for 'always fire when on' and a 'hold to turn on' button.
I'm having issues with that, because I really like having left click as single and 'mouse tilt' as auto, but even with 'default to off' on, it tends to default to on and I look like a nut when I load into a map.
Would it be possible to change this to "Do not shoot when on," but have a new button to "Turn on and shoot" that is just that by itself?
I'm pretty sure "default to off" is bugged if you've disabled the "remember firemode per-weapon" option. I intend to fix it but I'm not sure what the timeframe will be, as I'm not putting much time into DT mods at the present.
Understandable, though when you do get around to it, if you can find the time to work in a 'autofire only' trigger that doesn't require 'always on,' it would be much apricated. Would be very versatile.
The mod is bugged with the Equinox III Trauma Force Staff and doesn't launch fully charged shots properly. Tested it with all other staves and they work correctly. Only the Trauma Force staff doesn't.
EDIT: I also have a feature request to give us an option to just auto-fire staff right clicks when full without needing to hold left click. The current implementation feels awkward to use and will either have you fire a useless left click shot or fire off a non-fully-charged attack before the autofire kicks in.
I'll look into the trauma staff, though I'm pretty sure it works fine for me, and there's not much I can do if I can't reproduce the issue.
As for the feature request, the point of the current implementation is to bring it closer in-line with the Helbore. The fact is that the way psyker staffs work (even without this mod) is just kinda awkward, and I don't really want to add a bunch of code to this mod to address that. The current implementation allows you to prepare a shot and hold it until you want to fire it, and then continue firing max-charged shots by holding LMB; that's personally how I would like for it to behave, and I think that's the gonna be the best one-size-fits-all implementation for people. For what it's worth, the "shoot for me when on" option may cover what you want to do, though toggling that option whenever you want to use a psyker staff may be somewhat cumbersome.
Thank you for this. Just one bit of feedback : the Agripinaa Mk XIV Quickdraw Stub Revolver is a little hard to use, it will often fire two shots on even the slightest left click press. Would it be possible to tune that down a little ? Thank you again.
Unfortunately, that's largely out of my control afaik. Part of the motivation for the firemode selection button is to make it easy to switch to semi-auto when you want it.
I dont care that it doesnt fall under darktide policy for cheating. When you directly alter the function of a gun by changing the inputs its close enough to cheating and really shouldn't be allowed. Congrats on making a mod, too bad its not one that i could personally support due to the thought of is this ethical and it really isnt, the only thing stopping this from starting an outrage is that the game is pve... if a vs mode ever comes this mod needs to be removed.
You're absolutely right. I'm going to rethink all my life choices now for making a mod that makes the game more playable for more people, conferring literally no gameplay advantage over spam-clicking or using a macro (which Fatshark have explicitly permitted in the past). That is truly, deeply unethical of me. Real gamers get carpal tunnel, and anyone who isn't willing to endure self-inflicted physical ailments doesn't deserve to play.

However, having FullAuto default to on will make all weapons fully auto, so a keybind shouldn't be necessary if that's what you want.
