Im getting random white shading over my screen that goes away after a few seconds, did I install wrong? Everything else is working fine, but this keeps happening for some reason
Looking into it, since this is the first I heard of this, there's 2 possible problems. Either depth buffer is acting up due to Darktide being online game or Reshade wonks itself in the process. Depth buffer is rare case and most should have no issues.
Open reshade.exe
Follow the exact setup to install reshade into Darktide
It will prompt "Update, Modify, Uninstall"
You are safe to uninstall at any time, just uninstall and reinstall reshade
If issues till preside, I will talk you into the depth buffer "this case is rare and uninstall typically fixes everything and faster"
If I might make a suggestion - rather than dialling the sharpening waaaaay up, it would probably make sense to disable depth of field (plus other postprocessing 'lens' effects) and simply increase sharpening a small amount.
I used the center console in the Mourningstar since it has the most details out of the entire game. Used enough sharpen until the "white highlighting" was barely noticeable but the main console has every inch exposed. However, everyone's monitor or brightness is different so results may vary.
I'd suggest for others to toy with "sharpen strength" under Lumensharpen, that best match their monitor for perfection.
By Him on Terra, the previews look crisp! Amazing job and thanks for your work! :)
I confess I know next to nothing about reshades, and since it's a question other rejects might also be interested in, I figured I would ask you directly here: do reshades in general, and your reshade in particular, have an impact on performance? And, if so, how much of an impact do you reckon it is?
Adeptus mechanicus tinkered away and found a reshade present suited for all its marines, not just the Astartes. 5 fps drop with still a lot of changes intact. Reshade allows quick "activate/deactivate" so see if it suits your game.

I left this active to give you an idea of fps hit on your hardware :)
Click "home" key and find "Settings" in the tabs
Scroll down until "show fps" and tick off.

Thanks in advance!
I am working on a LITE version to bring it down.
Update: version 1.1 has maximum 8 fps drop. Any less, then the warp takes over
Sadly my potato PC would most likely suffer from it, but I'll be looking out for a lite version. :)
Thanks for your answers! May the Omnissiah favor you
