Thank you for this I can hit my shots now while in 3 person but I don't want my crosshair color changed because I use CCC. How do I do that?

edit: I just match the colors to my default crosshair I guess

    Excellent Mod!!!

would it be possible to disable aim sticking on other players and only work on enemies?
it would help when an ally walks in front of you so it doesn't drag your crosshair off.

Great mod, thanks. Would it be possible to add an option to disable charge-up style reticles from changing color? It flashes the full bar different colors and is distracting on screen.

Great mod!!! Love your mod - Im much prefer 3d perspective than 1p view

Do it possible change aiming point displacement in real world due to camera offset (non aiming)
Or maybe add additional slider where you can manualy change aiming point location on screen in 3rd person - more left or right

like if camera offset (non aiming) is 0.00 you move aiming point offset  -0.70 and you have clear prescission aim
Even if it only possible to moving aiming point from center of the screen, im wondering it should be more convenient overall

      The short answer is no.

You can't just move the starting aiming point to any arbitrary position. For example, imagine being able to move the starting point a meter to the side of your character - you'd be able to safely shoot around walls. Not only is that clearly cheating, it's also technically not possible in online play, cuz the server dictates where your aim position is.

The only alternative would be sort of the reverse of this mod, where it finds the 3D position of the center of your screen, then turns your character to aim at that position - but that comes with tons of other issues, like how moving forward would actually not be "forward" anymore, just whatever direction your character is currently facing, which would be constantly changing as you look around. I may be wrong, but at first glance it seems like trying to make such a mod would be fairly difficult, and the way it would actually play would be really janky, so I haven't bothered to try.

great mod, i was wondering if there was any chance you would be able to add another color option for when your aiming at a weak spot in particular. like how the hitmarker on weakspots is orange, if you could make the crosshair orange so you know your aiming in the right spot.

also if you could put an option so the crosshair would persist with a laser attatchment active

the laser attachment isent from this mod.

if your using custom weapon attachments, you can find it as an option under that mods settings.

The issue is that whether or not you're aiming over a weakspot on your screen doesn't necessarily align with what the server says, so having the crosshair change color accordingly doesn't end up being that useful. So I'm too lazy to dig into implementing that because I feel the actual effect of it would be unhelpful.

Any chance of updating to disable raycast based crosshair positions while in 1st person? The sight offsets provided by extended weapon customization doesn't play all too nice with this mod.
It looks like Dynamic Crosshair uses the pre-offset camera position as opposed to the final camera position provided by EWC so the crosshair starts to "stick" to things when you get close to them, like peeking over cover. I can still shoot over said cover but the crosshair is implying I can't by sticking to said cover instead of what I'm aiming at.

The latest version now lets you disable crosshair repositioning based on your perspective. For what it's worth, the way this mod determines how you're aiming is also how the rest of the game does it (as far as I could find), so it seems that what you're describing sounds like a fairly benign bug with EWC and not an issue with this mod. But I haven't dug into EWC's code to see exactly what it's doing.

Currently using this and having Custom Crosshair Color above the load order as instructed and Enabled the compatibility, however it seems that because my custom crosshair color is green - it overrides the dynamic crosshair function? Basically the entire mod doesn't really.. do anything for me.

The latest version of this mod has much better compatibility with CCC, and should no longer be dependent on load order nor require a toggle in the mod options.

My crosshair is getting stuck on enemies and allies. More noticeable while in 3rd person using perspectives mod.

Yeah that's kinda the point of the mod - it moves your crosshair to be located where your character is actually aiming instead of just sticking to the middle of your screen (which is not where your character would be aiming in 3rd person). It's kind of a difficult concept to explain, but it's fairly intuitive once you see it for yourself. Basically, the closer your target is, the more offset from the center your crosshair is going to become. If the mod didn't move the crosshair, it would be very misaligned from where you're actually aiming.

makes more sense now- thanks for the explanation. Brilliant mods.

The biggest issue is that if someone steps infront of you, the crosshair will snap to them and you will miss your enemies, it's a really big problem if you are behind an Ogryn teammate as it's impossible to not autotarget them.

Again, what's happening is not auto-aim or auto-targeting. This mod does not affect your aim or where your gun shoots in any way. It is a purely visual mod that moves the crosshair to be where you are actually aiming in 3D space. When it "snaps" to another player in front of you, it's because you are actually aiming at that player, i.e. if you switch to first-person view, you'll be aiming directly at the other player. The mod does not actually snap your aim to that player or force you to aim at that player.

The discrepancy between where you're actually aiming and where you want to aim is non-existent in first-person but practically unavoidable in third-person. Other third-person shooters usually get around this by doing things that aren't really feasible for a DT mod afaik.

Any way for it to ignore allies? Some weapons go 'through' allies (psyker stuff for example) or them getting in the path of fire is temporary but the reticle moving around throws me off.

I am happily playing the game using 'Perspectives'. However, there is a little problem when playing 'psyker'.

If you use 'Perspectives' and this mode and you are in 3rd person view..

The 'psyker head pop' skill 'Crosshair' moves too much, so it's very difficult to aim at a specific enemy (ex. Crusher) that is mixed among enemies.

Can you add an option to prevent 'Crosshair' from moving when using 'psyker head pop' in third person?

There was a bug that caused the crosshair to occasionally get stuck on your player, which has been fixed. However, there is no way to keep the crosshair static with this mod - the inaccuracy that you're describing is an unavoidable issue with playing the game in 3rd person, because your aim is always going to come from the first-person perspective.
