Hey there. Game and Vortex have been updated. The loose files will work on their own now. No need for the .bat script or Pakcacher. ssl folder goes to "client_pc/root/local".
Thanks for the Mod mate. Please consider not making the users install WinRar or any other programm to install the mod.
I reached out to the discord you linked for the fix - according to a user such a fix (to access online) does not exist and we need to wait for saber to fix it.
The developers change the rules regarding modding so often that I gave up on modding this game. And I don't play the game anymore. But thanks for the comment! I'll pin it so people can see it.
Tried running this, but the packcacher.exe is not in the downloaded files, now the game no longer starts... ?
Update, you have to get packcacher from another mod listing, a link is provided just before downloading. The file to cache is in: Warhammer 40000 Space Marine 2\client_pc\root\paks\client\default
Yeah I laughed on the inside after I decided to try that out on a whim (17 seconds, about the same as yours!). Yay comupters.
What's interesting is that whether the other intro parts are videos or textures, they are skippable.
So maybe there's a way to simply remove/shorten the duration for that very first screen? Because it seems like it lasts just as long for you as it does for me, with or without the red text showing up for seizures.
...You might want to put a disclaimer that people susceptible to seizures shouldn't download your mod though.. That could cause.. complications..
Nah jk maybe you could make it really short instead?
Assuming of course there is some field to affect duration.
Oh, check the sound asset files too. They may also contain duration info for how long a "cut" lasts. Since these parts in the intro aren't a/v synced.
The mod works as it should - removes screens that I did not want to see. The fact that the loading time is almost the same when you skip screens manually, so the game should load anyway. You can't skip loading game files)
These are different files, actually. I changed the text file "ui_bootup_screen_view.SSO", deleted the entries that search for the intro and reduced the number of frames, thereby disabling these intros. The archive you show me contains the file "ui_bootup_screen_view_profile.SSLBIN".
Are there any problems with the mod? Does it not perform its function? What do I gain from editing this file as well?
So this does indeed work BUT there you have to remove "default_other.pak.cache" or the game will crash failing a checksum check (I assume). You will also need an EAC bypasser .exe or the game will also crash.

After that, it works, thank you.
OK.
You can skip past the intros by just clicking lol.
The only thing you'd need to cut is the Risk of Seizure load up. That's the only thing that can't be skipped.
After that, every single video/logo goes away with click-click-click.

I don't want to see this warning.
I made it so it doesn't appear at all.
If you don't think you need the mod, just walk past with your valuable opinion under your arm.
Cheers! ;)
Morbid joke that is..

Everything seems to be the same.
But to access online you need a "FIX". It is in SM2 Modding Discord server.
I made a video especially for you:
