Hi, this is a great mod; but in Chaos Rising, I get a SCAR error with the side mission to save Derosa and the main mission available at that same time. Using a save game from DoW 2.
Looks very familiar. I already saw that ultra reskin and many more in "Squad Mod by Jaylo" like 8-10 years ago :D Anyway there is 0 mods for DOW2 on nexus so well done
I tried running developer mode with steam and it crashes every time. If I remove the developer mode, it runs normally, but do you know anything about this?
Hello. I'm very much enjoying this mod so far, but I do have a request if you are able to. I know you have a life and such. The great things with this mod that I really love is the faster movement speed (because vanilla feels like its a slog to move like 4 inches), the larger squads (just so much fun to be honest!), and increased level attribute gains and increased level cap (I'm all about those maxed out stats as long as I work for it!). That being said I noticed that items dont really drop anymore (I don't know if this intentional or not). Is there any way you can make a version of this mod that doesnt make you absolutely OP with the armor, attack speed, and stupid damage, but keep the movement speed, larger squad size and level attributes/level cap and you can bring back the item drops again? If you don't want to do this I understand, if not could you show me what files I should edit to make this possible myself? I'm not a modder but I could try to do this with some help. Thanks for your time buddy and you have made a pretty fun an awesome mod!
I have kind of the same issue. except i wa splaying thru the vinilla campaign..everything was fine till i hit lv 30 then all loot drops stopped. i cant gear up it seems and since most of my gear was like lv15 max and never found terminator armor.. the mod makes it a bit harder to compensate for without loot. not sure if its just the base game not tuned to drop loot at 30 or the mod glitched out.
Sorry but I dont check posts of my mods. I expect PM sent to me which I stated in the description. I only checked cause I copied the link to send to a mate to try out. Anyways, as you can tell theres alot of files I modded so the game is complex in how it runs. Now about the drops, I had to be carefull on this. I accelerated the game system and bent a few rules. Your not supposed to have all those item at start of game. The game drops wargear of a certain type and certain time with again certain conditions that If I messed with it too much game crashes and currupts the game save. Once the mod is installed go here :\Steam\steamapps\common\Dawn of War 2\GameAssets\Data\simulation\attrib\wargear\wargear\campaign\playable\race_marine That all the gear for both games and some for MP. Since all the wargear and drops are all done too early those certain conditions stated earlier that are supposed to happen, I had to mod and delete so the game wont crash and ables you to progress the game. There are some I cant delete as part of story progress and a repeat item like an axe will only drop for rest of game (which can be destroyed) When this happens, you know why in order to keep playing straight through to the end. If there are no more drops after level 20 and you can continue playing then YAY because of those rules I bent. The default max level for the game is 20, so imagine modding the game to go beyond that to 30 with stats and exp and more without destroying the game. I can not mod the loot to over level 20 cause the game wont read higher than that. Its not a good idea to speed up player level to 30 so quickly as those conditions for drops will be skipped so the game can progress. This game can currupt your save so easy if the mod is not done right. There is a limit to what I could do and I sure did alot and glad I can share it. This is a mod years in the making and played so many times from start to end to perfect it and ensure it can be completed. Im so over modding and playing the game. Im glad players are still playing the game and of cause using my mods for it. Hope this answers some of your questions.
I had the same issue just needed to delete the Data folder in the steamapps\common\Dawn of War 2\GameAssets and replace it with the one from the less modded file I then had to verify the file integrity and it works perfectly
I'm having trouble finding the steam folder to put the mods in. Also, should I turn the mod into any kind of file before putting it in the folder once I learn how to make it? (I am very new to Nexus mods and have never installed a mod from here before, I had always used the Steam Workshop. Sorry for asking such basic questions)
I did, however, when I watched the video, the files tab was already open and you were already at the mod in your folder. I wasn't sure how to get there is what I meant. Sorry for the confusion.
You cant find your steam folder?? You can right click on steam shortcut on desktop and click "open file location" or read my read me file and in "DOCS" tab on this site. Drive A-Z:\Steam\steamapps\common\Dawn of War 2\ https://steamcommunity.com/discussions/forum/1/154642901281889617/
Great mod! I recently upgraded my PC and decided to replay the game again. Your mod helped me save time as I have finished DoW II and its two Expansion Packs before.
Is there any chance that you might be making similar mod for DoW II Retribution?
