Honest opinion, how well does the OWO simulate the various sensations? I suppose too that it's limited to the upper arm, and no long-sleeve version. True?
OWO has announced sleeves, but yes, right now there are electrodes on the biceps, and 8 on the upper body (pectorals, abdominals, lumbars, and upper back).
I find that the OWO skin can do pain very well, and the sensation of getting hit by different damage types work really well, though the position is not the most accurate (8 points). That will actually make you adopt a different play style where you are really trying to not get hurt, take more cover and approach situations more carefully.
Every other sensation is a mixed bag. Some work fairly well, like healing or explosions, others are a little weird and work better with a vibration based vest like bhaptics. Generally, what bugs me about the OWO is that it takes rather long to put on every time (strip down to your skin, peel off protective foils, slip into a skin tight shirt with sticky pads, calibrate everything, ...). And that there are few supported games (most made by me), that makes the price tough to stomach. But if you are playing several of the supported games and are looking for pain to change up your gameplay, and don't mind spending the time to put it on, it's a cool option.
