Okay, seeing as there is still no proper installation manual, I will write it myself to save you the agony of installing this mod.
This mod WORKS without P&P and you should NOT install the P&P mod as it doesn't seem to work for 9.4 Unofficial Patch. This guide is to help you install this mod without using P&P.
Let's go step by step:
1. There are two folders in the mod, the "lasombra materials" and "lasombra_models". You will have to work with both of them to make this thing work for the clan you desire. You can make it work for any clan, but you will have to painstakingly enter all the necessary information as described below.
2. Take the "lasombra materials" folder and rename it to just "lasombra". Do NOT change any files or folder structure inside the folder.
Then take this folder to: "Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines\Vampire\materials\models\character\pc\female". [Note, that you will have to create the folders beyond Vampire, as they will not originally exist.]
When you are done, it will look like this: "Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines\Vampire\materials\models\character\pc\female\lasombra" and inside the "lasombra" will be all the relevant files.
3. Now to the more important bit, the "lasombra models". It isn't really hard but can get a tad tedious. You have to rename EVERYTHING mentioning LASOMBRA in any form to the name of the clan that you desire to replace. In other words if you want to replace it for clan Toreador, you must rename every instance mentioning LASOMBRA to the TOREADOR and after all that rename the folder "lasombra models" into "toreador".
When you are done with this, you have to place this folder into: "Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines\Vampire\models\character\pc\female" [note that this is NOT the same folder you placed "lasombra" in in part (2) of this guide.]
Naturally, this means that in order to replace Ventrue or Tremere, you have do the same things but you don't rename it to toreador, but the clan you desire instead.
Specific example:
>Rename "lasombra models" to "toreador". ->Enter "armor0", and -->Rename "lasombra_female_armor_0.dx7_2bone" to "toreador_female_armor_0.dx7_2bone". -->Rename "lasombra_female_armor_0.dx80" to "toreador_female_armor_0.dx80". -->Rename "lasombra_female_armor_0" to "toreador_female_armor_0".
[Repeat these steps for folders "armor1", "armor2" and "armor3".]
Final note: When you will select the character in game, during the New Game selection, the new model will appear in a weird state and will lack animation (on version 9.4 Unofficial Patch). Ignore it, there is no problem, this seems to be the common issue for all character replacements.
Thanks for the install guide, very helpful and seems to work in general for swapping out clan skins. Just wanted to add that for any modern users using the mod loader and playing with the Unofficial Patch or other mod such as Clan Quest, etc, then instead of the "Vampire" folder after your base VTM Bloodlines install folder, you'll want to put these in the appropriate mod folder(for example, I've used both the unofficial patch and clan quest mod and they each create their own folders "Unofficial_Patch" and "CQM" respectively, that you would put these inside instead of the "Vampire" folder, which is for the base game). Otherwise the file paths and install process should be the same. Sorry, a bit late to the party I know.
Very good install guide. One detail if you want to change the skin for a malkavian female pc the name change should be "malk_girl_armor_x" for armor number 1 to 3. For armor 0 it's "malkavian_female_armor_0", one oddity of the names for the files maybe there's more...
Does anyone know why the game crashes when I use the protean ability of the gangrel clan? I get the following notice:
Engine Error
no precache: models / character / pc / female / lasombra / armor0 / lasombra_female_armor_0.mdl
and the armor 0 changes with each armor, try the following armor and the same thing happens, just change the warning to armor 1, has someone else happened?
I don't use the unofficial patch or any clan mod, just skins mods
By the way great work with the skin
Edit: It is not necessary anymore, I have installed the unofficial patch and the game has just won a lot in many aspects, the only problem is that there are things that I do not understand by my level of English, but having played the game about 6 times I make a Idea of the dialogues.
If someone wants to answer the question above anyway, it can help someone looking for this problem and has no intention of installing the patch, thanks and regards.
For newcomers like me if you can't get the materials to show up remember to rename 'lasombra materials' to 'lasombra' and to NOT rename it into the clan you are trying to replace (in my case Malkavian).
Anybody know if I can get the last two armors of this mod (gangrel section) to replace the last two armors of this mod: sites.google.com/site/vtmbcompmodhome/outfit-packs-1/altfemalepcclans_1 since they use the same model? The last two armors for this mod are the same as far as I can tell and I'd love to merge these two mods together.
If you want to replace armor2 and 3 of FLR mod, with armor2 and 3 from Alt.clans mod...
Backup your armor2 and armor3 files ( I renamed them, adding ".bak" ), in: materials\models\character\pc\female\gangrel, and insert the armor2 and 3 folders of the same directory, from the alt.clans mod.
Backup any existing malkavian armor2 and 3 folders in: models\character\pc\female\malkavian, insert the armor2 and 3 folders from the alt.clans mod directory: models\character\pc\female\gangrel, into the malk model directory above, and rename the four "gangrel_female_armor_2" files to "malk_girl_armor_2", preserving the file extensions. Armor3 looks like this: "malk_girl_armor_3".
Yes! It works, though the teeth appear to be glowing pink (not very noticeable though and only visible if you look at the gap between the lips). I'll take it thank you very much!
Try adding the teeth.tth/ttz, and teeth.vmt files from Alt.clans materials\models\character\pc\female\gangrel\armor0, into your installation materials gangrel armor0 folder. ( teeth.vmts must be in the a2 and a3 folders as well )
As Tduality wrote below, in order for the models to locate the textures, you must rename the "lasombra materials" folder to "lasombra", after placing it in the "female" folder as instructed in the INSTALLATION section of the readme. I'm referring to the "otherwise" part of the readme, I don't know about using it with P+P.
"you must rename the "lasombra materials" folder to "lasombra"
That is what you've said and you claimed it was in the Installation instructions. Renaming the folder helped me get it working, but it is not stated anywhere on the Installation Instructions.
"...in order for the models to locate the textures, you must RENAME the "lasombra materials" folder to "lasombra", after placing it in the "female" folder as instructed in the INSTALLATION section of the readme. I'm referring to the "otherwise" part of the readme, I don't know about using it with P+P."
"after placing it in the "female" folder as instructed in the INSTALLATION section of the readme"
" and drop it into your vampire/materials/models/characters/pc/female folder."
"It doesn't say that ANYWHERE in the installation instruction."
How about this ? After placing the "lasombra materials" folder in the "female" folder as instructed in the INSTALLATION section of the readme.......you must rename the "lasombra materials" folder to "lasombra".
Don't change the fact the installation manual is 5 fucking lines. None of this chitter chatter would be needed if the OP bothered to write up an actual guide on how to install it.
So, this doesn't work without P+P, then? I tried to replace the gangrel skin and did everything by the book but it still doesn't work. Other clan skins are working fine but just not this one.
For Future Reference: When experiencing trouble with a mod, a good practice is to check the comments section for similar issues or solutions. If skeptical of a mod, check before downloading. Also, if using the "mod loader", install models and skins to the patch/mod directory, for best results.
I put everything in the correct folder, however when i start the game it shows the model but the textures are missing. (aka pink/black checkered) I'm trying to use this to replace the toreador and I have renamed the files like you said in description.
Ok to get this to work with antitribu you have to manually create materials...PC/female/lasombra and add armor0,armor1etc file and all, instead of using materials...antitribu_pc/female/lasombra.
That is only for the material files, the models go into antitribu pc and don't drop the full armor0etc file, take them out first.
Sorry, I modified the mod from the link in the description and the uploader was listed as proprietary. There were no credits outside the requirement for Offkorn's P+P, so I assumed it was the original. If you have a link to your mod I will gladly update the credits.

I wanted to uninstall/revert the files before I had forgotten what I'd done.
If the readme had mentioned renaming the folder, I would have quoted it like this: you must "rename the...
