I may be late to this party and not understand what I'm doing, but how do I install this with the unofficial patch? I've been trying to replace armor zero for the toreador clan, but it either doesn't work when I put the files in as instructed or if I swap the file locations from the instructions (in case I misread) I get no textures for the toreador.
Have not tried with other clans because for now i just want to change toreador.
Invisible models are usually the result of a misspelling of one or more of the model files, that's not the cause in this instance. I tested the Tremere files with the Unofficial Patch (installed the files using the Unofficial_Patch folder as the base directory, rather than the "vampire" folder ), all four models are consistent in appearance. I didn't exactly follow the readme file instructions though, because I knew what to do.
Sorry I missed this message. Have you managed to get this working? I attempted a clean install with Clan Quest Mod and I was able to load up the models. Maybe some part of my instructions were unclear?
This mod looks really beautiful! I am having trouble figuring out how to download it however because when I go into my models folder and then the female folder it only says malkavian. Non of the other clans are there. Please help me I want to make this mod replace the Tremere :(
I'm confused as to why you're looking in your models folder for clan folders. The instructions indicate to look for clan folders in the downloaded archive (the zip file). What step of the instructions are you on?
I haven't had any luck attempting to modify the models' animations. However, I was trying to add the PC idle animations to non-PC models. I don't know much about the animations that are used while on the Character Sheet, but I'll do some digging and see if there's an easy fix.
OK, after a bit of research (i.e. searching on the PlanetVampire boards):
The animations on the Character Sheet appear to be based upon clan specific animations. Unfortunately, NPC models do not have access to these and I haven't figured out how to remedy that. Yet. If I do, I'll update all the mods I've done. However, I can't make any promises at this point. For the time being you're stuck with her swan dive. Sorry :(
"McKrudskin" uploads files without regard for permission or credit. I believe that Greywaste, is the person that originally did the work on this character (and others) that many people use as a base. Also, see if you have extracted textures for npc/common/gangmember_female/sabbat_female, it looks very similar to the "rainbow" file. You may be able to use it in the future.
I've updated the attribution to more accurately reflect where the base skin came from. Also, I did indeed have a usable skin in the location you specified. I'm not sure how I messed that up, but when I was originally doing it I made a couple of attempts that ended in technicolor horror. Thanks for the tip, I appreciate it.
In my extracted file repository, there are two sabbat_female files, the file in my npc/common/doppleganger folder is, as you say technicolor horror when viewed in VTFEdit.
