You get these weird blotchy shadows around the palm trees and on the side of buildings in Santa Monica, main street. I just started the game so I can't check other areas, but I feel like it's to do with the fog effect in Santa Monica? Turning off the Occlusion removes it, but that's kind of sad, I like occlusion. Turning up the quality of the Occlusion, Filter, and Texture in SSAO makes the problem worse, I think??? It's a little hard to tell. Either way it definitely doesn't fix it.
You may try to change OcclusionQuality, FilterQuality, and TextureQuality in [SSAO] settings from 2 to 1 or 0 (0 supposed to be the highest quality). Maybe it will help. And make sure, that you are using ENB binaries for "Black Mesa", standalone mod for "Half-Life 2". I did have some graphical issues, while trying to use ENB, designed to work specialy for VtMB. Otherwise, i don't have any more ideas, how to help you, sorry. Don't remember any troubles with SSAO, when i was playing VtMB with my ENB preset.
Go to your enbseries.ini file in your VtMB directory and open it with notepad or notepad++. Edit this line from EnableOcclusion=1 to EnableOcclusion=0.
