Hey! Any way to simply just get this working with standard Sweetfx without reshade? or without reshade in general? As it is kinda resource intensive at times.
Hey man, thanks for the reaction. I don't think a flashlight cone effect is achievable like that. At any rate, the most I could've done with my level of understanding is to lift the gamma with SweetFX and map it to a shortcut (I used the letter "T"). Still, it's better than nothing to be able to switch overall gamma on/off by pressing one button, and it should solve your resource-intensive problems. I tested the function with the community patch by Wesp installed.
1. To install, download the SweetFX injector here Sweet FX from Guru3D and unpack it into the main game's directory. 2. Download the config files I've prepared for you, and copy them into the main game's directory—overwrite all when asked HERE. 3. As soon as you are in the game's menu, the brightness will be already working. So, you might need to press "T" right away there. 4. I suggest you set the Gamma slider of the game itself in Options -> Visual -> Gamma to something around 1.7, too. Feel free to experiment, ofc.
If you need to change anything, try studying SweetFX readme.txt, it can do some more stuff Hope this helps you at least a bit. Have fun!
So would this essentially work similar to turning sweetfx on & off? And would you like to upload it as an optional file for those who may be interested? Or I could make a mod page for it on your behalf, whatever suits :)
Feel free to upload it yourself, and let's see which version people like more, hh. No problem, man. It was 20 minutes of work, I am absolutely fine with you taking credits for it or something. As for turning the SweetFX on/off: I am not entirely sure, what you meant by that. This thing stands on its own—no ReShade at all, just SweetFX, as you said. When I loaded it up for the first time, it even disabled ReShade entirely (only after that, I tested the functionality on a clean VtMB copy). And yes, you turn the whole SweetFX on and off, ingame, by the said key "T".

I may look into it one day, but no promises (:
Still, a pretty good idea, thanks for the inspiration!
