This seems to cause a bug, during the Bloodlines Unofficial Patch quest to save Beckett's friend. At the Smoke Shop in Santa Monica there is a note and some how the Strauss Invitation is merged into it.
Hello! Life thoroughly spirited me away from modding, so I apologize for not seeing this sooner. If another mod uses the Strauss invite texture, which is unique in vanilla, you will have to use the "plain paper" texture option — and be sure the hover text is enabled, of course! Here is how to do all of this:
The "Plain paper option" textures must be installed instead of the default textures. Simply merge the materials folder therein with the materials folder inside Strauss's Invite and overwrite.
You must also NOT install the file: vdata/signs/regents_invitation.txt. If you have already done so, simply open it in a rich text editor and delete any "//" in front of "TextBlock" or "Text". These lines should look like this when you are done:
TextBlock { "Text" "Neonate,
(I merely included the edited rich text file so those using the mod would not have to do this themselves every time, so this not a big deal! Just fiddly.)
You should now have the nicer paper texture while the hover text for each quest will work as intended. :) I am very happy to help if something doesn't work or if the above is unclear in any way, so please feel free to come back!
Hello vampirenonsense Been a long time since I last played this, I really can't remember, how installed any of the smaller mods n such , ... I have the latest patch installed , when would I installed this please ?
Nice idea and retexture, thanks, endorsed! I like the Darleston font, but it is almost illegible in the game, so I have to use Segoe version, which honestly to say is not so beautiful as Darleston. Could you, please, enlarge a bit the inscription in the message? But I suppose that in that case it won't fit the size of the background paper sheet, will it? In any case thanks again and best wishes, hopefully we'll see more of your wonderful VtMB mods soon!
Unfortunately, you're right. I don't think it will fit if I enlarge the font size any further. I'm back to modding, though, and need a small project to ease back in. :) If, as I suspect, it doesn't fit well, I'll try to find something else with an eye on it being as nice as Darleston.
Thank you again! I'll be updating some packs soon, as I had a few things that were mostly finished, just not as good as I thought they could be.
