First of all thank you for the skins Had the problem of them not showing up first. For me the problem turned out to be that I kept a backup of the original clandooc.txt renamed to clandooc-old.txt. Once I deleted the old backup file from the folder the skins showed up. Hope this helps, and thanks again.
I know what the problem everyone is having is. They're just changing that one section from their clan to customPC because that's what it looks like they're supposed to do since your instructions just look like you're just using Malk as an example (which is what I thought at first). You need to change the entire line to match it exactly, malk and all. You're welcome.
+1. I was tearing my hair out trying to figure out what I was doing wrong, but this was exactly my issue. It made me feel a little silly to be honest, lol. Thank you so much.
First of all,I would like to thank everyone for the support,I really appreciate it Also, for those who seem to have problems making the skins work, here are some basic rules.. 1)For Antitribu and Final Nights mods(both great)..these skins should work with both mods, the procedure is the same, make the appropriate changes inside the clandoc according to which clan model you are replacing and extract the files inside the mod's corresponding files(more on that bellow) 2)For UP or CQM users...these mods create their own folders inside the game files. You should extract the files I provide inside these folders, not the original "Vampire" folder(see uploaded image) 3)UP and CQM create their own unique shortcuts,if you are planning to run the game with these mods and my skins, use these unique shortcuts and extract accordingly.I saw comments in which the users were mentioning they 've made this mistake 4)DO NOT rename any of my files. For many of you, this whole installation procedure may seem diificult, but it is as simple as it gets.Cant get it to work for all clans otherwise.Thats the reason why the only editing that needs to be done is inside the clandoc.txt.So ,NO RENAMING,or things get messy 5)Be extra careful when editing the clandoc.txt.One simple error and this whole thing gets ruined
a Youtuber named "Just call me Frosty" has a tutorial installing this skin amongst other mods, for those who have problems, you should check his video out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CNAO1QkgCpE&ab_channel=JustCallMeFrosty Timestamp would be (11:30 - 12:22)
For anyone having trouble getting the different hair and eye colors to work, here's some help: after you download the additional file, copy/paste the hair and eye color you want into the material --> models folder under female pc, for each armor. It'll work, even if you're in the middle of the game.
Also, without even downloading the mod, you can change your eye color. Follow the guide in this post: https://camarillaedition.darkbb.com/t149-guide-about-change-pc-eyes-color. I only tried the color violet, but it worked!
I had a lot of trouble getting this to work, until I noticed that the clandoc file lists the vampire clans and their codes TWICE, at least mine does. So make sure to scroll the entire doc and change the path for both cases.
This is what 100% works for me, personally, every time: first, you have to rename things (unless you're doing malkavian f). The author is wrong, in my case at least renaming files is what fixes it. I'll use toreador f as an example. This is how it has to look in the clandoc. (capitalization doesn't matter)
Besides that, you have to go into the MODELS folder (*NOT materials, MODELS). Go into this folder and rename the lines inside of the 'armor' folders within it (armor0, armor1, armor2, armor3, and armor4) to have the lines 'toreador_female_armor_' instead of 'malkavian_female_armor_' and 'malk_girl_armor_'. Do this for all 4 lines in each armor# folder. Just rename and copy paste. Just like the clandoc.
*Leave 'customPC' in materials as is, DO NOT rename 'customPC' in materials. Don't touch materials at all.
Or, substitute this with whatever clan you're using. Just swap out 'toreador' for any other clan and it works. Hope this helps.
Thanks, this worked for me. And in hindsight, it makes perfect sense. If you follow the instructions of the mod author you set the reference to armor that does not exist in the folders you specify.
Anyway, this works, thanks so much for posting this.
Изменяйте всю строку. Не вносите никаких изменений, никаких лишних пробелов и переносов строк. Просто скопируйте "models/character/pc/female/customPC/armor0/Malkavian_Female_Armor_0.mdl" и замените Скопируйте "models/character/pc/female/customPC/armor1/Malk_girl_Armor_1.mdl" и замените и так далее
no idea why this isn't working. I renamed to customPC and just lost. Seems female model is missing for selection in character creation. Also, how does the mod work after it's installed? Do you have toa activate the mod in game options or is it just automatically applied?
What a beautiful character! Great work, and Malkavian Rase too. I love playing this old game, with Malkavian character. Definitely the best mod I've ever seen. Thank you so much for this!
Sorry but your mod is not working 100%. what i see when i install this mod is: Character from this mod “https://www.nexusmods.com/vampirebloodlines/mods/218” I installed this mod like your guide with changing of Clan File and also using rename directly in Toreador and Malkavian folder, same problem. Can you please take a look on your Files? Thank you.
I've attempted many times to get this to work, installed everything as correctly as the information given, and now there isn't even female malk to select from. if anyone could help me with this it would be great, I've been crossing my t's and dotting my i's and still can't manage to get it to work. really looking forward to using this!
You have to copy the malkavian text as the author has written it in the description on the front page over the vampiric race you want to play in the clandoc. ie: if you wanted tremere you would still have to copy the malkavian text with the cutom pc over the tremere text hope that helps.
Hey, great mod! For anyone still having problems even after renaming files to match your desired clan, what solved it for me was removing the last _ on the names.
So for example, let's say you're using Tremere. Instead of "tremere_female_armor_1.mdl" type "tremere_female_armor1.mdl" and so on for all the others.
Then if for some reason not even that works, try substituting the files in the original folder for your clan for the new ones, too, not just in the customPC folder. Hope this helps!

This is THE only solution that you need to apply if you want to play a different race then malkevian.
