If I wanted quicker ending smoke and its default value is 1 do I go 1.5, 5, 10? What's the magnitude I should use and how did you experiment to get the values you liked?
Is there a way to get rid of the puffs from the cultivator planting? Not just the smoke from the fires? That would make my life way more pleasant!
Also, may I have example settings for the mod, such that I can use them instead of going in and out of the game until I find the settings that look good for me? I'm retired, but 5 continuous variables have LOTS of combinations... anyone can offer these example, I care not who shares (!) You say 1 is default, but what's the range? Should I check 1.01, 1.1 or 10 to see changes! Idk, yo.
may I ask how you turn it off entirely? I tried 0 value in all options and it still puffing out small bob of smoke.
Even if ttlFactor is set to 0, smoke can spawn. And will be removed on next update itself. So you can see the smoke for short time(about a second or less?) It's not a problem when you want to ignore the smoke exhausting system, but visually, it's not great as you say.
And... I tried to skip spawning the smoke, the campfire repeatedly switches between on and off..(I guess judged as running out of air) I don't have clear way to solve this for now, I'll update if I find it.
I tried to make a really smokey fire but after changing the variables it seems these setting do not have very much affect since we still cannot change the output per second of the smoke so there's no real way to increase or decrease the amount of smoke coming out of the fire.
Hi! Could you make a copy of the campfire then only adjust smoke for that new campfire type? I'd like to have a fire that can send smoke signals using heavy colored smoke but still have the normal campfire smoke. Cheers!
Looks cool idea. However, this mod hooks only smoke properties, not the campfire. It also does not add or replace any building items. And unfortunately, I don't know how to add new items (Maybe some modders are trying to do that, but not published yet). Once I find simple way to add new items, I'll try to make a mod of your idea. Thanks for your comment!
