There is probably something wrong with your mod installation in that case!
I suggest you try out my other mod for deleting items that is a bit more generic and gives you more control / more info when something doesn't work. It works for mushrooms as well! https://www.nexusmods.com/valheim/mods/1274
Make sure you have bepinex, and you may need to get closer and/or move around the mushrooms you are trying to remove. I had something like 50 in a cluster and had to press the default f8 key a couple of times to get them all to go away.
Installed the mode, launched the game, hit F8 near the shrooms.. but nothing happened. Reinstalled the mod, still no luck. Now I'm stuck with these crappy mushrooms XD Not sure what I'm doing wrong, everything is installed via Vortex.

This Mod did not work for me, but I actually found a way to remove it without using the mod..
Just stand next to the mushroom and type into commands: 'forcedelete glowingmushroom' and it will remove it!!!
If you type it incorrectly, it just removes a small radius around you, removing the mushroom anyway. :)
