I am no longer going to update this mod because RandyKnapp took care of the issues and added loot tables up to level 6. I am going to leave this mod up though because there is some valuable information in the comments below to teach you how to mod and alter the loot tables for your own server.
Thanks for the Epic Loot configuration, was too busy to work this on my own you nailed it but question regarding the levels? by using CreatureLevelControl.. it says here 5-star is the highest yet you have level 8 configuration on your epicloot. how does it work? or 5-star nad level 8 have different meanings on this? Thanks!
The creature level loot config actually allows levels 1-9. The default difficulty settings only set the difficulty for 1-5, but because I chose "Custom" under this setting:
[2 - Creatures] ## Sets the level up chances of all creatures. # Setting type: Difficulty # Default value: Medium # Acceptable values: Custom, Very_easy, Easy, Medium, Hard, Very_hard, Insane Difficulty = Custom
It now uses the difficulty based off of bosses killed with the following parameters:
[5 - Custom level chances]
## Chances for stars at world level 0 in percent. As many stars as you want from left to right, comma separated. Start with 1 star. 0 star chance will be automatically calculated using the remainder. Example: 30, 5.5, 2.25, 5, 10, 10, 3 # Setting type: String # Default value: 10, 2, 0, 0, 0 Chances for stars at world level 0 (percent) = 44, 14, 3, 2, 1, .5 , .1, .1
## Chances for stars at world level 1 in percent. Chances for stars at world level 1 (percent) = 50, 16, 3, 2, 1, .5, .1, .1
## Chances for stars at world level 2 in percent. Chances for stars at world level 2 (percent) = 51, 21, 8, 5, 5, 3, 1, 1
## Chances for stars at world level 3 in percent. Chances for stars at world level 3 (percent) = 49, 23, 8, 8, 5, 4, 2, 1
## Chances for stars at world level 4 in percent. Chances for stars at world level 4 (percent) = 45, 23, 12, 8, 5, 4, 2, 1
## Chances for stars at world level 5 in percent. Chances for stars at world level 5 (percent) = 32, 25, 18, 12, 5, 4, 2, 2
Aww man, just downloaded mere minutes before you closed on this. Came back and... No longer updated. I'm glad you're leaving the page up, though. Thanks for everything! Still endorsed!
1) Why should we enable the "unlimited" option? Been using this mod on our modded server for a while, but noticed that you added that it should be used with Unlimited. We're worried about mobs dropping too many pre-fabbed items and so currently have it set to MustKnowRecipe. Is there a big difference?
2) The patch you released today fixed the Treasure Map bug, which is just an edit to the json loottable file, right? Is there any edits to the config file that are bug-fixing? We use our own version of your config file (just to make it even harder ;) ) and don't want to revert when you patch unless there's a bug.
1) I guess its just personal preference, but for us having played vanilla all the way through we wanted to lower the amount of grinding for materials and just focus on combat.
2) It is just an edit to the lootable.json. All I did was copy and paste my old loot tables into Randy's latest loot tables and make a few changes.
Does anyone else having issue with bounties spawning but never registering Killing of said bounty? Trying to figure out if it is general issue with CLLC and EpicLoot or if that Yaml file I added to limit amount of drops.
That should be the case. According to Randy he put those rarities on the items in the early version and then never removed them. The creature that is killed will dictate the rarity.
I just defeated the second boss, have full bronze armor and headed towards the swamp.
First enemies I see are draugr, they both have about 6 stars and I got killed in one hit. My fire arrows barely even 1% of their health in damage.
What do you suggest I do, how would I tune down the difficulty enough to advance normally? I really love the stronger greylings and all the other stuff, just that this has given me an impossible barrier
Yup, after i spend a night to configure better trader to fit epic loot and created economy based on legendary shard=1kk Randy uploaded advanture update :D And I must have spend another day to configure it again :D
he will be fighting the same level 5 mob. Valheim works by having one local player take care of the spawning. So you just both need to have it set up so the same so that your game play experience is the same whether you were the first to the zone (making you in control of spawning) or your friend.

I was wondering about two questions:
1) Why should we enable the "unlimited" option? Been using this mod on our modded server for a while, but noticed that you added that it should be used with Unlimited. We're worried about mobs dropping too many pre-fabbed items and so currently have it set to MustKnowRecipe. Is there a big difference?
