Would it be possible to allow server commands via the server "box" itself? Especially a force save I can type in without being in game before shutting the server down? I saw issues using Ctrl+C, but sometimes (I run my server off my gaming machine) steam gets wonky and says I'm running the game, not the server, and I have to force close it to be able to open the game. This has resulted in players losing progress of up to 15 minutes reportedly.
Another would be allowing "god announcements" by typing in the server and having it display in the big yellow text in game, and MAYBE the ability to send commands like setting time of day (For events or something) to give the admin a bit more control?
And lastly... A mod whitelist. If they have mods the server doesn't, those mods either get blocked from working, or doesn't let them in.
That feature des sorta work. But it gets wonky as well in linux. So I had to disable it. Until someone develops a wrapper that works properly on fully dedicated servers it won't work properly.
Thanks for continuing this mod project! It's been a game changer for server owners. And thank you for considering these features.
Anti-Cheat
- Option to display server wide announcements if a user spawns in any items via console or another mod. - Option to display server wide announcements if a user teleports with ore. (If portal with ore is disabled.)
One of our team is wanting to develop something like this. I wouldn't say we won't do this because I'm sure that we can. It just may take us a long time and would be a separate plugin
i think some great additions to your mods (ssc and zones) would be:
- no-portals disallow the build of portals, so players are forced to use the boats.
- no-maps no maps. learn to orientate by landmarks or place signposts. a touched vegvisirs reveals the boss-location by a light beam to the player, visible for a few ingame days. players can make use of surtling-core-fireworks to signal their locations.
- delayed boss reveal once a boss is killed, a vegvisir will only reveal the next boss after a certain time has passed(hours, days or even weeks?). should help to prolong the playtime on a server, since once all bosses are defeated a server often losses its players.
Hi there! I would like to have an "AI" character that drops nothing and roams the map, or hides, and is a server side spawn that keeps the days going when no one is in the server, thus making it persistent. As of now, it seems as though you must be logged in for the world to be "active". Days do not pass unless someone is connected. I want it to be active while no one is connected to it, which makes it persistent. Is that possible?
I'm sure it is very possible. However, not sure how this would be done exactly. I know there is a mod called server side simulations that makes the server the owner of everything that happens.... BUT... if nobody is online then it still acts like nobody is online. Just needs an invisible character in the server for this. I'm sure someone will come up with this but this is not a feature I plan on adding.

If WorldOfValheimSSC had a similar feature, it would allow server admins to (mostly) prevent people from bringing in local characters.
Question : is there a way to always force the default character ? every time you log ?
So it s server side character without saving it :) Just force a initial charcater use at every login.

Otherwise, I really do love this mod. Thank you.
