Thanks. It struck me as kind of ridiculous, as someone who's worked at a silver smithy before, that you can craft functional swords and complex machinery, but you can't make chains, when I know from experience that chains are the literal simplest thing you can make out of metal. Seriously, you don't even need heat; most goldsmiths just use metal wire that they coil around a rod, and then saw it until they end up with a bunch of rings that they can put together into a chain.
Bump. I'd like to add this to my Dedicated Server (just running it on a spare tower, no hosting service) but I need to know whether it's server-side, client-side, or both before I start messing with stuff. Thanks in advance! :)
This mod needs an update I think. I have several Ingots of Iron on my person and a level 6 Forge. I cannot see Chainmail on the list nor does it get put to the top of the list when I have the required components..... It didnt show when the Forge was Levels 4 or 5 either
It works for me. I added the plugin to a folder, started the game and put the pickaxe on the item stand and right after that I got a message that I discovered a new recipe. Although I think it is enough to pick up iron, or something related to it, another item (chain itself maybe).
Hello. I wonder if you have any other plans for this mod? Like being able to change it from Smithing Table to Artisan Table where you can craft Chains as a more realistic addition. As it would make more sense progression wise that you can craft delicate stuff at the Artisan Table like Chains while locking it behind killing Moder just before getting to plains where going back to swamp farming ghosts is not hard just tedious.
Why rare? Every night he appears in the swamp. Just need to run through it and look for it. And so this mod is almost like a cheat team, although it is logical that the chain can be made of iron. But yes, 2 iron is not enough - at least 5 in the requirements would do.
Please update for Hearth and Home. Edit- It works for hearth and home, seems you need to pick up a chain before the crafting recipe is added to your inventory. Something like that at least. All I know is I saw "crafting recipe added:chain" and then I could craft it.
This doesn't seem to be working. I have the needed prerequisites, but it doesn't appear on the menu. Any idea how I might get this to work? Thank you for your work on the mod.
