UPDATE: Chances are high that this design does not work anymore in newer versions of Valheim, But solely due to changes made by the devs. So sadly there is little to nothing i can do to fix this.
From the moment i found wolves and knew i could tame them i thought about a way to make this process easier, especially since i noticed wolves stop breeding if there's too many of them in a small area.
Thus this tower was born, after a few revisions to iron out the kinks, i now deem it finished and decided to upload it to Nexus for you all!
Before anyone asks: No this is NOT based on Firespark's design(s), i didn't even know the guy excisted until about 3 days before creating this tower (and people kept pointing it out).
The entire process should be pretty easy:
- Download this file, Extract the .vbuild file and place it into your Buildshare folder (..SteamApps\common\Valheim\BuildShare\Builds) - Place this tower using Buildshare, the focus point is at the bottom of the stairs near the entrance, so placing it the way YOU want it to should be an easy thing! (The entire thing is on poles that stretch into the ground a bit so don't worry about uneven terrain) - Make 2 wolves follow you, open up the door and take them up the stairs. - Open the door, (for sake of easy, open it from the "inside" by jumping on the beam to the side near the stairs) - Shove your wolves into the little room and close the door - Go upstairs, line yourself up with the Wooden Beam "fan" and chuck a stack of meat in that general direction. (most of the times, it should roll down and fall on the platform with the 2 wolves, which should start eating if they aren't full) - Now all you have to do is wait, if a cub is born it falls down to the base of the tower and this keeps going until they wolves are out of meat and hungry again!
EDIT: Boars also work with this tower, but getting them in requires removal of all light sources since they are afraid of fire. Also the berries/Mushrooms don't roll down the shute as nicely as meat does, so that might take a tiny bit more effort to feed the boars
