This mod appears to be broken for the new Hildir's Request update released today. When the mod is active it prevents all movement. None of the movement keys work and jump also does not work. I double checked my movement keybinds are still correct.
When I remove only this mod and restart the game everything works again. If I put the mod back and restart the game the issue returns.
Ok this is probably due to the added controller support for the Caves update that just went out but I'm seeing this error in the logs now related to this great little mod

This mod (ref: https://www.nexusmods.com/valheim/mods/1197?tab=posts&BH=1) does a message, you could just copy the code from there and insert into your mod.
This is a really great option that I love the concept, but something about how the dodging works doesn't sit right with me. Maybe it's just me but it seems that you have to double tap and wait for a second for the role to perform and if you start moving before the roll performs it cancels it out. So you have to double tap wait and then start running for your life. I've died a couple times in combat trying to get out of the way of an attack. But double tapping takes longer than a quick right click and a single tap of wasd because of the delay you need to wait before pressing another movement key.
Often with double tap rolling functionality the second press down of the button is what triggers the role, not the release if that makes sense ?
Edit: I guess what I'm trying to say is usually you can press release press and hold and you'll perform the role and keep moving in the same direction that you're holding but with the way this mod set up you have to press release press release wait for the role and then press to start moving
Hi! Thank you for your feedback, I think you are on to something here. I will experiment a bit and see what I can come up with, since I add the double-tap dodge on top of the existing controls I'm a bit limited to what I can do.
So I changed the behaviour according to your suggestion, now only tap + hold is required to execute a dodge roll. Please try it out and see what you think!
I am still able to double tap (without holding) to dodge roll but it seems much smoother and more consistent than before. My settings are the default (DodgeTapHoldMax = 200, DodgeDoubleTapDelay = 300).

I finally got a free moment to give this a go and it feels and operates so much more smoothly then before. This really is a good alternative to the vanila method. I dont forsee myself dying with this QOL tweak anymore. Much smoother
I have a request, if you'd be so kind to consider: Can you please add a hotkey to toggle this mod on and off within the game? I have killed myself more than once by dodge-rolling off the top of my castle I'm building :) It would be nice to hit a key to enable this mod only when needed for combat. If there is already a way to do this through console or something, can someone let me know?
I have added support for gamepads. You can do a doge in any direction by double tapping left stick in that direction. It takes a bit of practice but works better then I thought it would. Please try it out and tell me what you think!

Hildir's Request seems to have broken a lot of useful mods. I've had to remove this one from my current rotation, too.

btw, other mods that use keybindings to do stuff also stopped working properly.. like: Give 'Em The Boot, Discard Inventory Item...
